WastedPo You are thinking of two completely different shows. There was Ghostbusters and The Real Ghostbusters.

Nick of Time: I know your comment is 10 months old, but when you rewatched it, did you watch the episodes from the later seasons? The show went off the rails at some point and became terrible with a totally different premise and even characters. But the first few seasons are actually still quite good.

Just checked an older copy that I've got and the line is, "chick".

Yeah. It was always "chick".

No, haven't watched them since childhood. I guess better leave it this way :)

No, it was always "This chick is toast!", you're probably just mixing it up with his "prehistoric bitch" line.

Yeah, now I'm doubting myself. Oh well.

Looks like a case of the Mandela Effect. Both sound right though, maybe he says it in the second movie.

Have you watched the cartoon as an adult? I loved it when I was a kid but when I watched a couple episodes of it a few years ago I realized it was one of the worst cartoons ever made. 😆

Jeez, you’ve got me wondering now. I haven’t watched along with this version yet, but I’m trying to remember. I know he calls her a “prehistoric bitch” but I’m fuzzy on the “toast” line.

What, not even the cartoon? :) I think i have watched the cartoon long before the movies.

Am I insane? I remember Murray saying "This bitch is toast!" to Gozer, and in this edit he said "chick".

I love that the Key Master continuously locks himself out of his own apartment. 😂

The bit when Venkman gives Egon a candy bar and says “you’ve earned it” was unscripted and kind of an inside joke. Harold Ramis lost a considerable amount of weight to look the part of the skinny science guy and Bill Murray thought he deserved a little reward.

So glad you guys got to sit down and really enjoy it! Definitely one of my very favorite movies, made my own Ghostbusters costume as a teenager for Halloween, the whole thing. Speaking of Annie Potts - have you two seen the Ghostbusters homage in Zombieland? It's a brief fun fanboy scene, and Emma Stone doing Annie Potts' accent is my favorite thing about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9pvRq-_5pA

Funny thing is, I know this movie SO well—my friends and I watched it so many times, that I didn’t even need to turn it on. I still remember the dialog, the music, all of it—I just watched the fuzzy screen in your background and could totally see and hear it in my mind. I was in 1st grade when this came out…good grief, it’s probably more years since then than it’ll be until I become a ghost! The second is, well, a sequel, but has some fun stuff in it. Great job as always, so fun to watch younger people visit all of our old imaginative haunts. 👍

I also consider Ghostbusters the videogame as the third movie because it has all the voice actors from the movies as well ass a great story! It's basically availlable on all platforms from PS2 to PS4, as well ass Windows PC and even Nintendo Switch

38 minutes, was that Rob Zombie behind the news guy??
The actor who played Peck was a prick in some of the best 80s movies haha
This movie was definitely Dan Aykroyd's baby, he was big into the paranormal back then, and still is actually.
Man, this is one of those movies like the Princess Bride, no matter how many times I see it I never get tired of it!
And a lot of it just having the best cast, with great writing. John Candy was supposed to play Louis but he had another obligation, so Rick Moranis got the part, I'm sure John Candy would've been hilarious in his own way, but I can't see Louis as anyone else, he was perfect.

Better late than never! You must see the second one next as soon as he both can, while it's all still fresh in your mind! And they were using proton packs… Protein lol oh and Walter Peck was part of the EPA accusing them of causing pollution or some other damage to the world environment with their tools. Ghostbusters on PS3, PS4, or PC as a great story as well, to me it's essentially the third Ghostbusters movie because it has all the same actors doing the voices! Definitely worth playing for gamers who also enjoyed the movies

The all-female reboot is a perfectly serviceable movie.

This was a fun reaction to watch for sure! Nice!
Did you know, the 4th Ghostbuster (Winston) was supposed to be played by Eddie Murphy? But he turned down the role.
"Vacuuming" the ghosts? I think Sam was thinking of the videogame "Luigi's Mansion". haha

The sequel is great too. But the all-female reboot is unfortunately a gigantic waste of time. The new one, Afterlife, is basically Part 3 and I have high hopes for it.

You’ve seriously never watched Ghostbusters before? Well, as Cheech says in the movie, “Better late than never!” 😆
