From the above list I'm going to enthusiastically up-vote Time After time, Soylent Green and The Day The Earth Stood Still (as well as the movies mentioned that are already in the poll)

2021-10-11 20:43:02 +0000 UTCThat's one of my fave 50's sci-fi movies.

2021-10-07 19:44:43 +0000 UTCTyrone Tyrone, I just want to alert you that another reactor (Mary Cherry) just did an outstanding reaction to the original "Planet Of The Apes", as did someone else (can't remember who, though!) (i hope that's ok to say here!),...and, although I'm sure you know this already, but TBR and Sam did "Strangelove" last week. (and that was also an outstanding reaction!).

2021-10-07 19:43:36 +0000 UTCAnother early science fiction movie with terrific special effects is 1956's "Earth vs The Flying Saucers".

2021-10-07 10:50:27 +0000 UTCIt finally happened, I've been waiting so long for this movie to win the poll

2021-10-06 18:30:33 +0000 UTCDeciding between "Forbidden Planet" - which for me is in the trio of dazzling, profound sci-fi greats with groundbreaking special effects ("2001" and "Close Encounters" being the other two), the original "Planet Of The Apes" and "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers" is so hard, I feel GUILTY! I keep changing my vote! All three of those are going to make GREAT reaction videos from you two, that much I can tell you, no question about it! They may lose the poll this time......but they'll get there one of these days! :D

2021-10-06 11:18:30 +0000 UTCWe considered it, but we weren't sure if anyone would be interested! I'll talk to TBR Schmitt about it :) -Sam
TBR Schmitt
2021-10-05 16:13:01 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, we have both seen Inception so we won't be able to do a first time reaction :( -Sam
TBR Schmitt
2021-10-05 16:11:34 +0000 UTCThe War of the Worlds both 1953 or 2005. Time Crimes. The Fly, either one.

2021-10-05 11:48:42 +0000 UTCOh wow. Good picks.
PIG
2021-10-05 00:30:23 +0000 UTC"Dark City" (1998)-- director's cut "Sunshine" (2007)
Mr. Writhms
2021-10-05 00:02:42 +0000 UTCDonnie Darko (2001)
Josephus Morland
2021-10-04 23:32:50 +0000 UTC"The Mist" reminded me very much of the old Twilight Zone episode, "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street". A neighborhood suffers a power outage, and paranoia sets in. Come to find out, it's aliens who are doing all the chaos and come to the conclusion that that would be the way to take over, let the people destroy themselves.

2021-10-04 20:45:53 +0000 UTCNooo, has Her being taken out of the poll? 😪 Her (2013) Interstellar (2014) Inception (2010) Donnie Darko (2001) Children of Men (2006) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) Signs (2002) Vanilla Sky (2001)

2021-10-04 19:10:44 +0000 UTCFor us movie buffs older movies like Planet of the Apes (1968) and Dr. Strangelove (1964) are a great choice since people are less likely to have seen them. Can you open a special request ($$$) like once a month or once every two months for us old-timers? I love how you young people are surprised when you actually like them😄
Tyrone Tyrone
2021-10-04 16:38:05 +0000 UTCInception? Might as well throw Christopher Nolan into the mix! 😀
Michael Soukup
2021-10-04 16:32:38 +0000 UTCYes absolutely! One of the best of recent years.
Michael Soukup
2021-10-04 16:28:44 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, we have both seen and loved District 9 so we wouldn't be able to do a first time reaction! -Sam

2021-10-04 16:16:38 +0000 UTCWe have seen most of the Star Wars films with the exception of Solo, but we haven't seen The Black Hole! -sam
TBR Schmitt
2021-10-04 16:16:20 +0000 UTCSo excited for it with your Black Mirror comparisons! We have both seen the original Matrix! I haven't seen any of the sequels, but I'm not sure if that is weird to do and not do the original! -Sam
TBR Schmitt
2021-10-04 16:15:44 +0000 UTCYes! I was just thinking this the other day!

2021-10-04 16:14:40 +0000 UTCWe'll get to it eventually! -Sam

2021-10-04 16:09:08 +0000 UTCI add "DISTRICT 9" to the mix. Very few have reacted to that Awesome sci-fi Classic.

2021-10-04 16:00:33 +0000 UTCI love Invasion Of The Body Snatchers - has that immediate 1970's realism. And it definitely has a Mist-like apocalyptic sci-fi vibe.
Neal Romanek
2021-10-04 13:57:57 +0000 UTCEx Machina and Minority Report are both excellent. If one doesn't make then I suggest putting back up on the next poll again. A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) and Gattaca (1997) are two suggestions from me
PIG
2021-10-04 13:55:01 +0000 UTCAlso, "Planet of the Apes" (1968, the original) starring Charlton Heston "Forbidden Planet" (1956) starring Leslie Nielsen and Anne Francis "Soylent Green" (1973) starring Charlton Heston "I, Robot" (2004) starring Will Smith "Alien Nation" (1988) starring James Caan and Mandy Patinkin "The Day The Earth Stood Still" (1951, the original) starring Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal "When Worlds Collide" (1951) starring Richard Derr and Barbara Rush "Earth vs The Flying Saucers" (1956) starring Hugh Marlowe and Joan Taylor "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1978) starring Donald Sutherland and Brooke Adams "The Last Starfighter" (1984) starring Lance Guest and Dan O"herlihy "Fantastic Voyage" (1966) starring Stephen Boyd and Raquel Welch "The Incredible Shrinking Man" (1957) starring Grant Williams "Time After Time" (1979) starring Malcolm McDowell and David Warner "The Time Machine (1960, the original) starring Rod Taylor and Yvette Mimieux among many, many others.
Miles E Coburn
2021-10-04 13:50:13 +0000 UTCStar Wars (1977) is a suggestion, however in the unlikely scenario that you haven’t seen it, The Black Hole (1979) was Disney’s attempt of a Star Wars, worth reacting to.
Lee
2021-10-04 11:54:58 +0000 UTCIt will eventually. ;)
James Willingham III
2021-10-04 11:34:52 +0000 UTCWould make a great reboot if handled properly.
James Willingham III
2021-10-04 11:34:22 +0000 UTCGood choice!
James Willingham III
2021-10-04 11:34:02 +0000 UTC“Ex Machina” is great, definitely one of the best sci-fi films to come out of the last 20 years. Very similar to Black Mirror in tones and themes. And have you both seen “The Matrix”? If you haven’t, it is a definite must-watch for a future poll.
Nick of Time
2021-10-04 07:08:06 +0000 UTCOh man they would love Contact, I hope it wins.
Cactus Tony
2021-10-04 03:27:14 +0000 UTCEx Machina is a brilliant film!! Body Snatchers is some great horror and Contact was also very good, but I think Ex Machina is the winner here!
Uncle 'Traveling' Matt
2021-10-04 03:18:32 +0000 UTCVoted Contact, great sci-fi movie. More in the genre of 2010 than an action adventure flick. As a Philip K. Dick fan, i really dislike Minority report.
bosho11
2021-10-04 03:16:33 +0000 UTCI'm going with one of the two I haven't seen, Ex Machina. I do love Planet of the Apes (all versions, even the Mark Wahlberg/Tim Burton, if for nothing but the makeup FX lol), Contact is great too, remember seeing that in the theater. Invasion '78 is a fantastic sci Fi horror movie that The Mist reminded me of, and reminds me of old school Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episodes. It won't win but if you get a chance to watch a good Halloweenie type movie: 👍👍check it out
Joe D. MacGuffinstuff
2021-10-04 03:14:04 +0000 UTCI'm still pulling for Forbidden Planet.
Sean McDonough
2021-10-04 03:02:17 +0000 UTCSpielberg’s Artificial Intelligence is a good choice for the future
Arya Amirsoleimani
2021-10-04 02:59:54 +0000 UTC"FORBIDDEN PLANET" .. (CLASSIC!) was the influence for STAR TREK, (also was young Leslie Neilson in the "Captain Kirk"-type role)
John Mccormick
2021-10-04 02:42:24 +0000 UTCI suggest Dark City too.

2021-10-04 02:37:43 +0000 UTCTough choice. Planet of the apes, Contact, Minority report, Ex Machina, all great movies.
