Generation Kill Part Five 'A Burning Dog' Full TV Reaction!!

Generation Kill Part Five 'A Burning Dog' Full TV Reaction!!

Comments

I believe last two episodes are different as there's a monologue from a marine instead of the chatter.

David Lengyel

I completely understand. It's hyper-realistic and pulls no punches, so I think it might be worth the try. I'm loving your channel more and more so just keep doing what makes you feel comfortable and I'll stick around, regardless.

Insane! It is like a scene out of movie to get from one vehicle to another through all of that, untouched! -Sam

Thank you for sharing! We are having a rough time understanding the chatter :( -Sam

I love their banter so much! -Sam

We haven't! If we do watch the wire we may separate it out as David mentioned, but it sounds like that is the most popular requested TV show we've received so we want to find a way to make it work :) -Sam

Love that! Hope you enjoy it! -Sam

Thanks for the update. I had to ask though :) I hope they make an exception with The Wire. And yeah, RIP Williams.

Nate wrote in his book One Bullet Away that the run from one Humvee to another during the shootout felt like the lobby scene from Matrix bullets flying in all directions and he somehow dodged all of them. Again, great reaction to this miniseries. I can't wait for the final review as this show rubs against the grain quite a lot and the ending isn't what you'd expect. Keep it coming! PS: I always feel sad for the leveled hamlet in the beginning of the episode 😔

TBR and Sam mentioned that they don't want to watch several seasons of the TV show unless each season is somewhat isolated. This rule could work with The Wire for sure, but don't expect back to back reactions to all five seasons.

David Lengyel

the chatter at the end is a SALUTE report. https://www.sandboxx.us/blog/what-are-the-six-elements-of-a-salute-report/

Slayback

The Wire is incredible, but I think for some people it's almost TOO real, and complex, because it's true to how things go down in major cities in America, and probably everywhere to some extent. RIP Michael K Williams.

"At least my mom took me to Nascar!" I could watch Ray and Brad talk for hours. My god they're entertaining. edit: I like Norah Jones :(

BTW Have you guys seen HBO's The Wire? It's, overall, my favorite show and I think it's worth the consideration for someone as observant as the both of you. The only other big reactors to react to it are the Normies and I think it's doing pretty well on their channel.

PIG

I never heard of this series but I found out now that David Simon and Ed Burns from The Wire are writers for the script. That makes it immediately interesting. Since I found out about it because of you guys I think I'll watch it, I might purchase it and watch it along with you as a first time.
