Horror Movie Poll!

Help pick the Horror movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

NOTE: I have seen 28 Days Later, The Cabin in the Woods & Tucker and Dale vs Evil, so this would only be Sam's first time reaction.

*We received a ton suggestions on the last polls, but we are trying to keep the poll sizes more reasonable. We have noted all suggestions for future polls!

"Creepshow" (1983) That's a horror movie for your list! Stephen King wrote it (and acts in it), it's an anthology movie, five stories, like a comic book. It's horror, but it's also funny, a real good time! "Carrie" (1976) is another, although I'm sure it's already on your list. And "Rosemary's Baby" (1968)...the only reactions for that movie I've seen are guys, and that's one where a female's perspective is helpful.

Tic Toc Melody

"Jaws" is one of those movies that you can never have enough reactions to, and it's a rite of passage so I'm pretty psyched to see you guys see that one, even though I've seen EVERY reaction video for that movie that's up! :P

Tic Toc Melody

Agreed

Richard Flanagan

Thank you for the advice! We have so many directors to explore! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

So many great movies to watch! -Sam

As well as the fly, look at some of the other David Cronenberg movies. He did things in horror no one else came near to doing. The Dead Zone is a good one to add (based on the Steven King book, with Christopher Walken), but some of the more intense, crazy ones are Scanners, The Brood, Videodrome.

Neal Romanek

The Howling is a tremendous movie!

Psycho 2 is definitely worthwhile. It was written by the great Tom Holland who.also directed the original Child's Play. Psycho 2 also has great cinematography from Dean Cundey who worked on a bunch of classics like the original Halloween as well as some other John Carpenter stuff, the Back To The Future movies, Jurassic Park and even Road House. With music by the legendary Jerry Goldsmith, it's a film with a lot going for it.

I love the ocean, but I also have a healthy fear of it lol. One time I was trying to surf, I was out pretty far and once I saw that fin... I remember thinking "don't splash but swim as fast as you f*ckin can" cuz if that bastard wants to eat me, I'm done, I'm too far from shore to beat it in a race. So I'm paddling as fast as I can but as quietly as I can and I get to my friend who's a real surfer and whose board I was borrowing and tell him I just saw a shark, he looks out past me and I see his face turn from worried for his life to laughing his ass off his board. "Dude those are dolphins! Look there's a bunch of them!" I saw a fin dammit lol, if I'd waited a second I would have seen that dolphin fins move up and down as they swim, not side to side like a shark, but I was a noob πŸ˜‚

Damn these polls are tough. Too many great options! πŸ˜†

28 Days Later is fantastic but looks like Jaws is winning, which is ok.

Catherine LW

Haha yes! So many movies to watch! -Sam

I already hate the ocean so I’m nervous! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

That sounds terrifying! I’ve added it to our list! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Ooh never heard of that! I’ve added it to our list! Thank you! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Yes! It’s on our list! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Awesome! I hope you enjoyed the reaction 😊 -Sam

Oh wow... just do ALL of these (starting with Jaws, of course).

Mr. Writhms

I second American Werewolf in London plus The Howling! All these are solid picks.

Sean McDonough

An American Werewolf in London

christopher brown

Looks like it's Jaws, and honestly it should win, this movie was to beaches what the Exorcist was to Ouija boards for literally years after.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Check out The Descent. It's gory as hell, but the cinematography, lighting and sheer claustrophobic terror have cemented it into my all-time list.

Steven Montano

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a must. I'm a big horror fan but rarely enjoy a horror movie because really good ones are hard to find. The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a great one!

Domino

Jaws is great, and very unconventional as a horror film; Everyone should see Psycho at some point - it was Hitchcock's answer to the low budget B&W horror films independent filmmakers were making at the time; I'd recommend Invasion of the Body Snatchers (the 1970s remake), and I'd second the recommendation of American Werewolf in London - very very creative, very scary, darkly darkly funny, cynical, great.

Mark

It got slept on by a lot of people. But it's AMAZING.

Arki Kali

I'd love to see Jaws win this! Psycho would also be a great one for the future if it doesn't win here. And Psycho 2 is an underrated sequel that I love, and think you might too (a great 80s horror vibe, and a fun story).

Future Boy

A recommendation for the future: An American Werewolf in London.

Mitchell Smilie

Wow, never heard of that one much less seen it.

Arioch

Yeah, gotta be Jaws. I was watching your Chernobyl Ep.3 reaction when these polls popped up. :D

Arioch

I think Jaws has this one in the bag, I can't wait until we do get to 28 days later though personally

Terry Lee

Jaws is an absolute classic, and directed by Steven Spielberg.

PapaXan

Tucker and Dale is GOLD. But a dual reaction is always fun

Bret Buchin

I love me some 28 Days later. But Psycho and Jaws are amazing as well.

KevG

Psycho is an all time classic an a hugely influential film. Hope it wins this one.
