is all about the lyrics!

When creating my projects, I try to be inspired by something more interpretative. This is more effective, because the only stimulus I have is what I can hear and interpret.
This text is based on that. If you're interested in what kept me coming up with ideas for both lore/concepts for my maps, just keep reading... and listening;

☼ The Inspirations
I'm passionate about this concept, even before I knew what it was.
The idea of a place taken out of its context, and absent of human presence. It has always caused me a mix of feelings, and it is my biggest source of inspiration, to this day.
► Songs, and their lyrics;
Now the fun part begins.
Music has always been something extremely personal and interpretative, knowing this, I knew it could be the most precious thing in the creation process, as visual stimulation does not exist, only auditory stimulation and interpretation. and this creates scenarios in my mind, which often end up in my projects
------
Some examples(It's all about the lyrics and the feeling);
"Phantogram - Black Out Days (Future Islands Remix)";
From here I got the idea for the new Sun.

"Perturbator - Death Squad";
There are no lyrics in this one, but a feeling. It's basically the generic feeling I try to cause in any project that has "void" in its name. It's no surprise that it was the music used in the first trailer for this new map interaction
Check it out: https://youtu.be/4JEcgyVSlmw
"SPLICY - Cutting my Roots (Synthwave mix)"
This was used in the second trailer for "pink place", I wanted something atmospheric, with a small touch of hope, and maybe something that speaks to the player... (Maybe someone comes to mind, I don't know =o= )

"Bardea - 00.VOIDSPACE"
Damn, that name brings back memories, anyway. I found this song, when I was looking for the name "voidspaces" on YouTube, to watch someone who had made a video about my project. And ironically, I fell in love with the atmosphere, it brings back the feeling of memories, of the last days before the new sun. as if it were someone remembering a traumatic event that occurred in those days

"I Monster - Who Is She?"
Let's go. To me that sounds like someone who has accepted the light of their new Sun! who fell in love with his presence, perhaps even became a preacher! spreading the word and salvation via the "light of the new day"

"Royal blood - Out of the black"
(Also known as Jimmy's Unofficial Soundtrack) That Prankster
This was used for the "gm_voidplaces" Trailer where he showed up, and the idea behind this, is the feeling of something following you, and you don't even know why, nor the reasons behind it.
Check it out: https://youtu.be/uzSWg9pagLA
"Tiago Carvalho - Wreck"
(This is you)
the theme of any explorer, who had the courage to explore some Void!
As the void is an extensive place, time itself often doesn't even work properly inside! many explorers end up getting lost, and going deeper and deeper into those places, many have the misfortune of meeting their end, whether due to hunger or something malicious! There is no right answer to your destiny my dear explorer. just risks to be taken
