2023-06-30 18:57:51 +0000 UTCAs I've been randomly binging through your backlog of reactions, it has been amusing seeing how biased you guys are towards assuming something bad was about to happen... this is the first movie where it made me laugh out loud. I saw this movie originally in the theater with my father, and then immediately again another half dozen times with anybody I could get to go with me. Maybe the movie was scary my first time, too, but I don't remember. Now, it is impossible to think of it as being anything even remotely scary, so your reaction was a lot of fun.

We have never seen "The Goodbye Girl" so we will add it to our list! I was lucky enough to see this movie at the drive-in as well as Star Wars I especially remember a double feature of Jaws and alien which I will never forget and I think I was about 10 years old . I am one of the lucky ones that has seen all nine original Episodes of the Star Wars three trilogies I guess you could call it in the theater from 1977 to 2017. Love your reactions! This is my mother‘s favorite movie of all time. Richard Dreyfuss has some really good movies. Mr. Holland‘s opus is one of my favorite. If you and your lovely wife would like to react to an amazing romantic comedy that is older, check out Neal Simon " The Goodbye Girl". It’s stars Richard Dreyfuss and Marsha Mason. My absolute favorite romantic movie of all time

Some points of interest: Carl Weathers from the Mandalorian (most recently) is the soldier telling Richard Dreyfus that looters will be shot. The scientist you show after showing the close up of the visitor is “Bishop” from Aliens. Can’t go wrong with a John Williams soundtrack. Never. Originally when you posted this as a choice I mistakenly took it as “Twilight Zone The Movie”. If you haven’t seen it you must. More Spielberg plus John Lithgow. This is the last time I’ll mention it as to not beat a dead horse.
