Update on Kamille

Those close to Kamille have been very quiet about her time off, which has exceeded six months. However, based on what we’ve heard, she won’t be back soon, but for a better reason.
We’re told that much like Wardlow, Kamille has an upcoming television product she’s working on that will have her busy through part of the Summer. We’ve not heard if a similar meeting occurred that led to Wardlow not being brought back for that kind of reasons.
When asking in AEW about the absence we were told that talent were effectively “in the dark” about her absence and didn’t hear a specific reason. It was believed that Tony Khan didn’t feel like the Mercedes partnership was working. It was clarified by a number of sources that Mercedes was willing to work with Kamille, and do a match, but that didn’t happen. However, it was something that was discussed back in December.
As of now, it appears she's been benched the last six months, but will be out working a television project this Summer.
Kamille still has plenty of time left on her AEW deal, and has continued to do signings, but hasn’t wrestled since her absence outside of a battle royal on the indies.

2025-06-06 16:57:13 +0000 UTCI agree. They tried something with her and it wasn't a good fit, and in my opinion she did not look good in the ring at all. There are other people like Deonna that I would much rather see get more TV time. Now I think they should honor the contract as I always feel companies should honor the contract of someone they sign, but if she wants to be let out to go elsewhere then let her out. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.
