Any word on Luchasaurus, Wardlow or Keith Lee returning any time soon ?
I cant' speak to Keith Lee. Wardlow won't be back any time soon as he has another project that we mentioned recently. Luchasaurus was backstage at the LA PPV and was able to be used if they needed him.
Was TNA management immediately on board with the idea of a WWE talent holding the TNA World Title, or did they need some convincing?
Anything like that requires some back and forth and some negotiating. TNA doesn't just go for anything WWE pitches, like a lot of people would think. There have been a number of things TNA has passed on and vice versa.
Is Jericho off TV due to his contract being up, like how Mariah was pulled after Revolution?
No. He felt like it was a good time to take some time off, and Fozzy had a tour. Most of the dates were scheduled around Dynamite, but it made the most sense. Jericho still has around six months left on his deal, I believe. I'll ask if the absence time can be tacked on.
Comments
He likely had enough pull that absence for his band and time off was baked into the deal. He has been on TV pretty constantly over the years, so even if he sat his last 6 months out he would have given Tony his moneys worth. I'm not sure even Tony could begrudge or match him another Saudi payday for the Rumble and a Mania farewell/HOF appearance if that's how it ends up. Would be fun to see Steph induct him or vice versa as a prelude to his own.
