Recently we reported that there were conflicting claims about the status of PROGRESS Men’s World Champion Luke Jacobs following his tryout with WWE earlier this year, now we know more. Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has learned that Jacobs received the news that he had not been signed for the time being during PROGRESS Super Strong Style 16 weekend.
Multiple sources do tell Brennan that much like Goldenboy Santos, Jacobs ‘massively’ impressed at the tryout, and is expected to get another look with the company in the future.
Fightful Select will continue to update fans on news of other talent at the WWE UK tryouts as we learn more.

2025-05-31 22:22:34 +0000 UTCThe phrase "get another look" interests me, because WWE doesn't struggle to gain intel on prospective wrestlers. This reads like they plan to sign him IF something comes up. Say, IF NXT Europe gets launched, he'd be a Day 1. I mean, come on, WWE doesn't need another look at him, he's far more than ready.
