On May 22, Wrestlenomics dropped a bombshell.

Brandon Thurston received a statement from the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation saying the event will be rescheduled to a later year. The statement says that WWE Money in the Bank will be held in New Orleans in 2026.“The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership, which will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money In The Bank in 2026, and WrestleMania – which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.”

When Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reached out to WWE reps, it was confirmed this is true, and that WrestleMania will not be in New Orleans in 2026. However, it was noted that this is a part of a larger deal that adds Money in the Bank 2026, and WrestleMania will emanate from New Orleans in a future year.

Those that we've spoken to in WWE have not yet heard where 2026 WrestleMania will be located. WWE is still on the books for a future Indianapolis WrestleMania as well.
