Update on Rey Fenix-WWE

It was pretty much a foregone conclusion after vignettes aired on last week's Smackdown hinting at him, but Fightful Select has confirmed that Fenix has officially signed with the company. The plan as of now is to debut him on the Smackdown brand, though we haven't heard when.
Fenix was getting his medicals done in recent weeks. Fenix procured his release from AEW recently, and we're told that he isn't expected to speak heavily on his falling out there, same as Penta. The two were in contact with WWE last year, leading to their relationships with AEW souring.
