Update on Sting- WWE HOF

Lex Luger is headed into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, and the natural selection to induct him is his longtime tag team partner, rival and friend, Sting. Despite having retired over a year ago, Sting has remained a part of All Elite Wrestling, and has a new Legends-esque deal since retiring.
We’re not sure if that would require AEW signing off on Sting possibly inducting Luger, but we’re told that WWE was planning to make overtures if they hadn’t already about making that happen. Luger and those close to him did inform WWE that Sting was the preferred choice.
It's worth noting Sting had told people he probably wouldn't be able to do it because of his AEW deal.
Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve heard Sting’s original plans called for him to only be in Vegas during WrestleMania week for a limited schedule, and it’s now expanded.

If Lex wants Sting just call him Steve Borden and let him induct his good friend. Rhea was at Buddy's Australia match. Bayley & Naomi were at Mercedes debut in AEW. Wwe counter scheduling AEW every time they can doesn't help though.

Moxley, FTR, Swerve, and Jericho are on record saying that HHH himself called them trying to get them to leave. Also, the report that Penta was telling the locker room he and his brother had already agreed to the frame work of a deal with WWE while still under AEW contract.
