Is Netflix planning on doing another season of Wrestlers from OVW?
No, they're not. I personally enjoyed the show, but it's not in the cards for them. It was very well produced, and highlighted OVW in a really good way. I thought that they capitalized on it fairly well, but ultimately the indies are struggling here in Kentucky.
As far as the Netflix element of it, I'd long been told that for a while, Netflix held the right of first refusal on OVW programming after the reality show aired. There were some other ideas broached with Netflix and OVW at the time, including a big live event that would air on Netflix. Sources at Netflix had told me that was something discussed to test their live event capabilities.
That was also the time they were trying live programming with the Chris Rock special and the Love is Blind special that were met with varying degrees of success from a technical perspective.
Ultimately, the window passed and the show wasn't renewed.
