Meiko Satomura update
Added 2025-03-08 17:14:48 +0000 UTCMeiko Satomura is back in the United States, and it appears for good reason.
On March 6th, Jordynne Grace posted a photo with Meiko to social media, followed by WWE’s social media channels highlighting Meiko at the WWE Performance Center with Giulia. Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has now confirmed that Meiko is currently scheduled to be at NXT Roadblock in New York on March 11th. It is unknown at this time if Meiko will be a part of the show, but we have also confirmed Pep.S Caro of Plantera Wrestling’s report that Giulia vs Stephanie Vaquer is currently penciled in to close the show. Ironically enough, Meiko’s last WWE appearance took place at NXT Roadblock in 2023, and has not been present at NXT tapings since.
While Meiko recently finished up her final matches in the United Kingdom, we are told that several requests from Independent Wrestling companies to book Meiko in the United States have been rejected. Meiko is currently scheduled to have her retirement match with Sendai Girls on April 29th, and returned to Japan briefly for a Sendai Girls date before leaving for the US. It’s also worth noting Meiko is currently scheduled for a TJPW appearance on the Friday following Roadblock.
On her final dates in the United Kingdom, Dan Moloney presenting Meiko Satomura with the Fight Club Pro Belt at PROGRESS My Own Destiny was a surprise to those we spoke with in PROGRESS, and backstage, Meiko was incredibly moved when she realised she was actually keeping the belt. Meiko was also presented with a PROGRESS Women’s World Championship belt backstage at the event.
Comments
I wonder if she will do something to betray Giulia and cost her the match?
