Alexxis Falcon Interview Notes
Fightful’s Corey Brennan recently sat down with Alexxis Falcon for an interview, you can check out the notes from the interview below. You can check out the full interview with Alexxis here:
Corey kicked off the interview by asking Alexxis about her initial response to her injury, with the recently returned wrestler noting that she probably shouldn’t have finished the match where she was injured last year, but felt like she had to. Despite this, Falcon noted that she knew something was up, and told Lizzy Evo as much when she got backstage. Falcon explained that Lizzy helped her get dressed, as she couldn’t move her arm and she was taken to the hospital, but did not get an MRI done for another six weeks. At that point, part of her injury had started to already heal, which caused issues.
During her time away, Alexxis noted that her mother lived with her for 3 weeks while she was recovering, as she couldn’t dress herself or take a proper shower due to her injury. Falcon spoke of her guilt to promoters, other wrestlers and mainly, her Cheeky Little Buggers tag team partner Charles Crowley. Alexxis did note that when she was offered a chance to do backstage work for PROGRESS, she jumped at the opportunity to stay involved, as she had been going stir crazy previously.
As her return neared, Alexxis found out in November she could take a proper bump, and would return at PROGRESS Unboxing at the end of December 2024. Alexxis spoke of her uncertainty on if she would make it back in the ring by February 2025, but ‘John Cena’d’ her recovery to make it back in time for Unboxing.
When Corey asked about the future of Cheeky Little Buggers after they went their separate ways at Unboxing, Alexxis did note that the pair are not broken up, and she fully expects to team with Charles again in the future and will always have his back. Falcon also joked that she felt betrayed by Charles looking for new tag team partners while she was injured.
To cap off the interview, Alexxis noted that she wanted 2025 to be the year she comes back with a bang.
Emily Jaye
Fightful caught up with Emily Jaye at WrestleCade in Winston-Salem, NC. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp spoke with Jaye for nearly 10 minutes and discussed numerous topics.
Sean asked Emily how she got to work in AEW/ROH. She told Sean she was invited to work with the company two days after WrestleCade last year. She said she used her shoot name instead of her wrestling name because AEW has Anna Jay.
She told Sean that she was a WWE Shop model for a while. She said she still had the shirts and would cut them a certain way.
She spoke about her “Wrestling Dad,” Heath Slater. She said there is a promotion in North Carolina called WXW. Emily says they bring in Heath quite a bit. She threw out the idea to the promotion and asked if she could have her dream match. Emily says they responded by asking her what her dream match was, and Emily told them “to tag with Heath.” She added that she didn't care who the opponents were as long as they teamed.
Emily said the match would get pushed back continuously. She said it was supposed to happen in June and then July, but it finally happened in August.
Emily told Sean it was the most emotional match she’s had. She said it was a comedy match, and she got beat up the entire time. When they got backstage, Emily cried because he hugged her in the ring, and she is a very emotional person.
She said that having that moment with him meant the world to her and that he protects her heavily.
