Update on WWE minimum pay
Added 2025-02-16 21:07:10 +0000 UTCAs of three years ago, Triple H had noted that the minimum amount earned in WWE for Raw or Smackdown was $250,000 per year.
We're told that number has increased significantly in recent years.
When Fightful was asked about the financial security of wrestlers in a recent Q&A, we echoed Triple H's claim, but have been contacted by numerous talent and those who help nail those deals down. The claim has been that the minimum these days is $350,000 per year.
It's worth noting that while airfare is covered for WWE main roster talent, hotels and rental cars are usually not. Each deal is different and there are different things negotiated into WWE deals.

Just a reminder: Something being a tax write off makes it 30-50% less, months later. It’s not a reimbursement.

2025-02-16 22:25:11 +0000 UTCSo the hotels and rentals are also going to be tax deductible right? Look, I'd love for big companies to pay their people for all benefits, but if you can't second best is write that off.

2025-02-16 22:10:48 +0000 UTCWWE making their talent pay for their transportation and lodging after making record profits, and being the hottest they've been since the Attitude Era is fucked up

2025-02-16 21:58:42 +0000 UTCIt probably depends on who you ask. If the choice was making $250k and they pay for hotels and rental cars, or $350,000 and I take care of those myself? I'm taking door number 2 every single time. Anyone else who travels for work, probably can't imagine all their wrestlers using fucking Concur every week for reimbursement 😂. I travel a maximum of 4 times a year and get pissed every time I have to use that piece of shit.

2025-02-16 21:51:16 +0000 UTCI work for myself. I would think wwe would do the same with ton of money coming in.

2025-02-16 21:25:58 +0000 UTCLike they his kids? More like they his employees. Does your work fly you out somewhere and then make you pay for room and transportation?

2025-02-16 21:24:32 +0000 UTCNo wonder everyone happy in AEW, besides booking sometimes, as Tony pays for everything

2025-02-16 21:21:03 +0000 UTCThis means that everyone who gets let go and has a 90-day noncompete agreement, gets paid $87,500 or more.

2025-02-16 21:10:33 +0000 UTCIf you like the idea of wrestlers getting paid but also want AEW to fail, you're a hack. These numbers are a thing because of AEW competing for talent
