FREE POST: UK News Roundup

- As announced by Grapple Theory, Debbie Keitel is contracted to DIANA wrestling in Japan for the next year. Those we spoke to in the European scene were all thrilled for Keitel, and expect her to return to the scene next year.

- For those asking about Meiko, those we spoke to in NXT believe her live event match with Bayley was her WWE swan song ahead of her retirement this year. Meiko is set to wrestle in PROGRESS next month, in a move that was deemed ‘unsurprising’ by those we spoke to in the company.

- Amale has now become a regular in RCW Spain after speaking out against French Wrestling Promotions last year, and is expected to continue competing in Spain. Several we spoke to in the French wrestling scene were delighted to see Amale announced for an upcoming KO show in France.

- Cara Noir and Effy’s egg spot at GCW Live In London saw some criticism online, with mixed reactions internally from those we spoke to. The spot is one that Cara Noir has done several times in the past.

- A recent incident took place during a tag team hardcore match at GCW x BZW that involved parts of light tubes spraying into the crowd, injuring a child. Paramedics were called immediately and the child received stitches and was ‘taken care of by BZW’, receiving merchandise and was said to be in good spirits after.

- Several we spoke to in BZW had heavy praise for Effy’s  recent appearance in the promotion.

B Cool Interview Notes

Fightful’s Corey Brennan recently sat down with former OTT World Champion B Cool for an interview. You can check out the full notes from the interview below.

During the interview, B Cool spoke about his shoulder injury that forced him to vacate the OTT World Title, commenting that he had other issues at the time due to wear and tear, so there was a silver lining to the moment. B Cool noted that he couldn’t use his arm in the gym at all during the initial stages of his recovery. While speaking about ScrapperMania, B Cool admitted there was a lot of coaxing to bring certain teammates onto his side for the tag team match, calling it pure chaos. B Cool admitted he felt the injury initially, but powered through the tag match and his OTT World title match with Trent Seven that night.

B Cool also spoke about vacating the championship the next night, noting that he felt like he couldn’t hold the championship hostage while he was hurt, and it deserved to be defended. He also noted that his prep for the Loco Rumble this year has been a learning process following his shoulder injury. B Cool also revealed that prior to his injury, promotions in the United Kingdom and Europe were contacting him for appearances.

B Cool also spoke about doing Twitch while he was injured, noting that it did help with his mind state while out with the injury, although he feels like he ‘jumped the line’ due to being known in wrestling prior.

Elsewhere in the interview, B Cool chose Roman Reigns as a perfect opponent from WWE to face in OTT, and reflected on the two matches his mother had been ringside for including a stinkface and being butchered at the hands of Jon Moxley.

More On Mustafa Ali UK Dates

For those who follow along with Mustafa Ali on social media, they will be aware of Ali’s care for the Palestinian people and their cause.

While speaking to sources at PW Ceasefire, a promotion set up in the UK to raise funds for Palestine, Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has learned that the promotion and Ali still aim to make an appearance at a show in the future, despite Ali not being able to make a show so far.

PW Ceasefire sources tell us that a lack of Ali has been a matter of dates clashing, but they continue to be in contact with Ali for a future appearance, as Mustafa was dubbed “the number one guy” the promotion wanted to bring in.

On the January 23rd edition of TNA iMPACT! Ali returned to the promotion.
