Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that TJP, also known as TJ Perkins, sees his New Japan Pro Wrestling contract expire soon. Those we speak to in the company say they’re hoping to keep him and have been actively negotiating.
TJP is well traveled, having been an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion 3 times, WWE Cruiserweight Champion, and TNA X Division Champion twice. He’s scheduled for this weekend’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom show competing for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight alongside his partner Francesco Akira.
