Hey Sean, why do they have 90 day no compete clauses?
For a number of reasons. WWE doesn't want people immediately popping up on other programs. It also serves as a severance or employment cushion and pays talent for a few months while they figure out what is next for them. NXT non competes are 30 days.
Hi Sean, What do you think Anthem's focus will be for TNA in 2025, and how do you think it can build on 2024 despite possibly losing a number of key talents going into the new year?
Reloading with younger, fresher talent after they'll likely lose quite a bit of established talent. Bringing in some big names for short runs, and the need to shop a TV deal elsewhere.
Do AEW talent (wrestlers) pay for airport/hotel or does the company?
The company pays for flights and hotel. WWE pays for flights as well, but not hotel or cars. This is a big point of attraction for many heading to AEW in that they no longer incur these costs.
Comments
WWE doesn't want the Lex Luger showing up on Nitro or Rick Rude being on both shows on the same day to happen again.

2024-11-24 19:07:30 +0000 UTC“Non-competes” is a misnomer anyway. WWE contracts stipulate that talent can be terminated on 90 days notice at any time. So talent is still under contract during those 90 days, they’ve just been notified that their contract is BEING terminated (at which point the company would have already stopped using them).
