Update on Drew McIntyre's absence

McIntyre wrapped up his feud with CM Punk in a widely acclaimed and brutal Hell in a Cell match at WWE Bad Blood that also saw Punk take a planned absence. We can’t speak to whether or not Drew’s was planned, but it’s for good reason.
During the Hell in a Cell match, McIntyre sustained a large laceration that led to a dozen staples to close the injury. McIntyre already would have required time off for that to heal, but we’re told that he’s also been in Europe visiting family. McIntyre shared recently that he’d experienced some personal losses.
