Jai Vidal granted release from TNA Wrestling

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has learned that Jai Vidal is no longer with the company. Fightful Select is told that Vidal asked for and was given his release recently.
Vidal had signed with TNA on a multi-year contract in late 2022, and we're told that the contract was up in January 2025. The 27-year old Vidal hasn’t wrestled for TNA since August, where he participated in an Ultimate X qualifying match. He’d only wrestled four matches there this year, and has only won one match in the company.
In addition to TNA, Vidal has wrestled for GCW, among others.
Those in TNA claimed that Vidal was frustrated around the creative process, among others things. Vidal got press for being the first openly gay wrestler in TNA, but had told people in the company he felt like him stressing the importance for representation wasn’t reciprocated.

I guess it depends on the person but as someone else who is gay - Id like to be treated like everyone else. Representation is important, absolutely .. but me personally .. I wouldnt want my sexuality to be my main focal point or character. Again to each their own
