Brock Lesnar rumors, updates
Added 2024-10-16 16:56:32 +0000 UTCBrock Lesnar has been out of action for well over a year, and there are no plans for him to return right now, at least per sources within WWE.
Rumors emerged on October 15 that Brock Lesnar and WWE had been in talks, and the company was considering bringing him back. That was denied within the company on a high level, with one source saying "There are no creative plans in place for Lesnar, and if conversations have occurred, we've not been briefed on that."
Earlier this year, Lesnar was referenced in a lawsuit against WWE and Vince McMahon, and has been on the sidelines ever since. Lesnar was planned for WWE Royal Rumble, but his travel was canceled, and was immediately removed from all creative plans. Lesnar was to start a major program with Gunther that would have carried into WrestleMania.
WWE also went to great expense and inconvenience to have Lesnar removed from the WWE 2K24 video game (outside of his inclusion in a few game modes) and other properties. Lesnar’s merchandise was ordered to be listed at reduced rates, and sources we’ve spoken to say that new products have not been created featuring him on that front. A WWE higher up actually reached out to Fightful in April to state back then that Lesnar was not imminently returning, as there were inquiries from another outlet that had been convinced he was set to come back at WrestleMania, which was never a plan.
We’re told that Lesnar is among a couple of other names that were not to be mentioned on WWE over the last number of months. Lesnar was not to be brought up in video packages, mentioned on promos, or referenced by commentary if it could be avoided. This past week, Lesnar was referenced by nickname in a WWE Raw promo by Cody Rhodes, but those close to Rhodes had heard nothing of a status change for Lesnar as of this week.
Despite Triple H saying that Lesnar could be back in the fold at a recent , we’re told he has not been brought up creatively in quite some time. One source in creative told us they haven’t heard any updates regarding Lesnar in months, with another saying they’d be surprised if Lesnar was brought back in the middle of a federal investigation.
We will continue to follow up on this story. We've reached out to WWE reps in an official capacity but haven't heard back.

After all these comments I’m certain that you are in fact Brock Lesnar

2024-10-18 01:27:44 +0000 UTCHe is a representative of the company. Shit like that can’t be overlooked. It’s not good for business.

2024-10-18 01:27:13 +0000 UTCIgnoring the fact that he's involved in a federal lawsuit at the moment, what can Brock even contribute to the WWE roster right now?

2024-10-16 21:55:05 +0000 UTCWhat are you talking about dude. The WSJ reporter explicitly said it was him in the Vince doc.

2024-10-16 21:25:57 +0000 UTCAllegations and investigation in to what exactly? It is not a crime to have a disgusting fetish or cheat on your wife or WWE and AEW would probably have terrible times selling PPVS considering nobody in the companies would be available. Just because Vince McMahon is a pig. Doesn’t mean you wrestling fans should be lumping others into his crime spree because you just accused someone whose name is not even mentioned in lawsuit. As a American you should do better and live by innocent til proven guilty

2024-10-16 19:43:28 +0000 UTCWhat did Brock do that was illegal? He has a gross fetish and he got drunk and attempted to be horrible husband. None of these things are even for 1 second punishable by law. So your whole comment lacks any common sense

2024-10-16 19:36:40 +0000 UTCWhen was Brock Lesner referenced in the lawsuit? It is heavily implied that is him. Unless is birth name is former UFC champion that WWE is hoping to sign. I don’t think you should imply things that are not 100% certain even if it is 99.9% him

2024-10-16 19:26:07 +0000 UTCA guy who doesn’t see color definitely hasn’t seen the lawsuit yet

2024-10-16 18:30:48 +0000 UTCNah I think those days are over. TKO is running the ship now and are very keen on optics and public opinion.

2024-10-16 18:06:49 +0000 UTCDoubtful. If they wanted him back he would’ve been back earlier this year.

2024-10-16 18:06:04 +0000 UTCTwo guys on RAW said the word "Beast" and the Brock stans got weird. WWE doesn't want him back, and the last year has clearly shown they don't need him to sell tickets anymore.

2024-10-16 17:24:46 +0000 UTCAs much as I have loved Brock during his career, I don’t think he’s needed in the current WWE landscape.

2024-10-16 17:19:01 +0000 UTCFed gonna fed. I wouldn't be surprised if they brought him in, in spite of the allegations and investigation.

2024-10-16 17:16:39 +0000 UTCA sad end to the career of one of the best dominators in the sport, but a necessary one. Absolutely correct to keep him far away for as long as needed.

2024-10-16 17:14:25 +0000 UTCI really want them to sunset these nostalgia moments. Mostly because of how insufferable the fans are about/for them.

2024-10-16 17:13:22 +0000 UTCBringing him back would be a PR disaster.
