NXT SCOOPS THREAD

Alex Hammerstone is backstage once again at tonight’s tapings.
A Trick Williams promo is planned to open tonight’s show, while his contract signing with Ethan Page is set to close the show.
We were able to confirm Ibou of WrestlePurists report that CM Punk is set to be a special guest referee at the Chicago CW premiere of NXT, and will make that announcement on tonight’s show. Punk was at the PC early in the day, and much like his previous visits, was speaking with NXT talent who approached him before the show. We haven’t heard if the ref cam has been abandoned or may see a return for this match. Punk is expected to be ringside for a segment during the middle of tonight’s show. We have not heard if he is planned for any backstage segments or not.
Austin Theory and Grayson Waller announced that they will feature on the St Louis edition of NXT next month. Those we spoke to within the brand expected more announcements of main roster talent appearing on that show in the next couple of weeks.
Those we spoke to at tonight’s tapings have not seen the Motor City Machine Guns, nor does there appear to be secrecy surrounding any angle tonight for those asking for an update.
Giulia and Roxanne Perez are scheduled for a segment on tonight’s show.
Shawn Spears is set to be involved in Brooks Jensen vs Dion Lennox, but is expected to still heavily sell his arm.
