NXT No Mercy notes from Corey Brennan

- There is no sign that the ref cam will be used in the NXT Championship match.

- During rehearsals, a segment was rehearsed involving the winner of the NXT Women’s Championship match and a surprise confrontation. Stock music was used and a producer stood in for the surprise. As expected, the identity of the talent involved is being kept close to the vest, but one source noted that the preparation for this segment ‘felt big’.

- On Zayda Steel, Steel was always scheduled to leave Japan at the end of last month, and those we’ve spoke to in the industry expect her to be pursued by multiple companies in the US following her excursion. 

- Men’s NXT Championship match was scheduled to main event early on in the day.

- Earlier this week reports claimed Bozilla is on her way to WWE, but as of this Summer, Bozilla and Myla Grace are scheduled to be with Marigold until at least the end of 2024.

- For those asking, Giulia is stateside, as is Delta. We have not been able to confirm if either will be on tonight’s show, but several we spoke to described Giulia’s arrival on NXT as “imminent”.

- For those wondering about the tag team title match opening the show, there were no post match angles rehearsed prior to the show.

- Zachary Wentz will carry the X-Division title to the ring. It is not listed as a title match
