Jordynne Grace talks surprise NXT appearance, TNA, More

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful spoke with Jordynne Grace following her shocking NXT appearance this week.

Grace confirmed our reports that Roxanne Perez didn't want to know who she was facing until they actually came out. NXT officials wanted to bring Roxanne Perez backstage to see who it was five minutes prior, as it was kept a closely guarded secret. However, Perez was adamant that she wanted to find out with the rest of the world.

Grace revealed that TNA and WWE have had conversations for months, but in the last few weeks, it became a real possibility. On the Sunday prior to the appearance, she got her travel info. They sent doctors to check her and do her blood work in her hotel, which she said was a first. She went down to the hotel gym and the only person there was Ethan Page, who was shocked and asked her not to ruin his surprise, to which she indicated that he shouldn't ruin HER surprise. The two ended up going to Cezar Bononi's house to stay out of the public eye.

NXT had a special parking spot for Grace, and ushered her in during the show, at about 8:30 local time. She said that Shawn Michaels was very excited about the appearance and wants to make wrestling as fun as possible.

Her Pop Tartare meme was not real, and was just something she found online, but Shawn Michaels asked her about it immediately. She tried to sell the earring that got ripped out at a recent taping, but Ebay removed the post. However, Mick Foley did text her and say "welcome to the club" after she had it ripped from her ear.

She joked that Moose immediately messaged her about how he could do the same thing and noted that he called her during the interview we were doing, probably ready to ask the same thing.

She admitted she's facing a lot of pressure of carrying the possibility of a WWE-TNA relationship on her shoulders. She said that her biggest fear is falling short of expectations, and is working out in her head how she should approach the match and how she should perform. She said that if she falls on her face she recognizes it could be "cataclysmic"
