Update on Wendi Richter/AEW
Added 2024-05-19 21:00:04 +0000 UTCWendi Richter won’t be appearing in AEW any time soon, and it’s possible references will not be made to her.
We’re told that Wendi Richter was actually considered for an appearance in All Elite Wrestling after Toni Storm made constant references to the wrestling legend during press events. However, that is highly unlikely at this point, as it was found out that Richter is actually under a WWE Legends deal.
Rob Van Dam implied last year that he had WWE’s blessing to make AEW appearances, but it’s unknown if he’s actively under a WWE Legends deal himself, as that usually prevents such from happening.
Richter has said she'd do an appearance for the right money.

Releasing some of the NXT guys who didn’t do much or veer and Sanga to WWE they don’t see the point in playing goalie against them. They don’t see money in them currently. Wendy can make money for AEW.
