Update On Mike Rome In NXT
Added 2024-05-07 17:17:18 +0000 UTCLast week, Fightful Select reported that Rome was set to begin announcing for NXT imminently, replacing Alicia Taylor as the lead ring announcer.
Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has now learned that Mike will be on the call for tonight’s edition of WWE NXT, marking his first time announcing for the brand since 2019.
Fightful Select also recently reported that Alicia Taylor is expected to move to the main roster, with the talk backstage at today’s NXT that she would be working the SmackDown brand for now on.
Rome previously announced for NXT between 2016 and 2019.
As of now Alicia is doing the rehearsals for tonight's NXT, but several at the show had been under the impression Rome would be starting.
