With each passing update of RDP, the older vehicles become larger eyesores. The shocker has been a stain on the roster for a while now, and with this update, I'm pushing it forward to the same quality you can expect from future vehicles.

This car is still a work in progress. What started as a remodel turned into a full blown rework. As such, options are currently very limited, some parts are missing entirely, and some parts are still not entirely reworked. You'll notice some minor issues with the rear end & roofsigns especially; this being worked on!

The entire body has been remodeled & fully textured. The subframe has been shortened 3.5 inches, & the wheelbase shortened to match proper dimensions as well. A new skin template can be found in the RDP discord server in the skin_configs channel - old skins technically still work, but won't line up perfectly. New skins are coded the exact same way, with the new template.

Much of the cars coding has been reworked, or entirely scrapped and redone. The doors, quarter panels, roof, floors, and pillars have all had serious work done to them, while the hood, trunk lid, and fenders have been completely scrapped & remade. The result is a vehicle that "feels" more similar to the other vehicles, as the shocker has always had an uncanny feeling to it different from the rest. This car is currently only set up for stock rules with more parts coming, along with metric GM parts. This vehicle is likely very good - as usual I will be monitoring it's performance, but for the time being, Mopar fans can enjoy some time in the spotlight in stock classes. One of the new features that has been more heavily experimented with on this car than other cars is that the trunks structure is much more degenerative than other vehicles. Just as these cars are known to tear apart in real life, as you drive the shocker, structures in the trunk can break down and become softer as the heat wears on. My hope is that this lends itself to a vehicle that shines in stock classes but can't quite hold up in heavy classes.

As a last note, I am aware that the shocker heats up faster than other vehicles. This is due to an issue where the "manifold temperature" rises faster than it should. I have spent hours looking for what could be causing this and have not yet found it, whether it's on my end of Beams, I do not know. However, it seems this mostly affects the initial rise in temperature, and has less impact on the long-term cooling of the engine. I will keep looking for a fix in the meantime.

BeamNG.Drive's Latest Update - Beam should migrate files for you when you launch the game. If you have custom level files, you may need to manually move those from your 0.23 folder to 0.24, and take a look to make sure there isn't anything else in there you need such as presets. You will also need to reactive your mods.  If you're having issues, head over to the RDP discord.
