Story:

Halloween might be over, but everyone always loves a good “nightmare before Christmas”, right? Why else would that be such a popular story? Well, imagine that, as the holiday season continues, you find yourself in an odd apartment. You happened to be walking by one cold evening and noticed the door open, but no one was around. You know better than to go sneaking about, but it’s cold out and you wouldn’t mind warming up for a bit before heading back out!

As you walk down the hallway of this apartment, you wonder where the tenant could be. Your heart rate rises, and you start feeling a bit nervous as you start to wonder if this was a good idea. Then you hear a faint sound, almost like a rumble. Was it the heater? The plumbing? You look around, wondering if at the end of the hallway, you’ll find something behind that door.

But before you tremble any farther, you are quickly spun around! Face to face with what could only be the tenant, you are grappled in his grasp. You’re startled, frightened by the suddenness of your decision. Obviously he is not happy you have wandered into his apartment, but he almost seems to eerily enjoy your uninvited company. He smiles, wondering what to do with you as he almost seems to be toying with you like he wants to eat you! You can’t help but notice his round belly, furthering your worry if this is some monster you’ve walked into!

As he continues to toy with you, making it clear that his belly is something not to be messed with, you hear another rumble, much louder than before! You look down as he holds the monster growling within! You now know what is going to happen. And he can tell by your anxious, frightened self that you know what is happening.

He messes with you more as you come close to that mouth, that tongue, those teeth, as he plays with you. But could you even fit in there? You start to actually wonder if this is just some mind game. How could a full-size human even fit in there? Yes, it’s a large belly, but it just seems so impossible! But before you could even reason yourself from this terror, you hear another monstrous growl as your captor’s hunger increases! And just like that, without hesitation and some gleeful play, in you go!

No amount of imagination could have prepared you for your fate! But if only you could see how that belly grew as he gulped you down with very heavy and struggling motions! But no matter your fight or size, there you were, fully engulfed by that large, rumbling, and squirming belly. At times, it did seem like you were trying valiantly to escape, as he moaned and groaned while trying to keep you inside! But with every squirm, every bounce, that belly only gurgled and growled as it enjoyed its early holiday meal.

Inevitably, it all ends. You eventually fade, as your once cold evening turns into a dark, warm abyss. Your memory continues, though, for without you, that belly would not have been as fulfilled as it was. And for that reason, it thanks you for your forever gift as it continues to rumble into the night.
