Wagon time again!

With another month of irritating but necessary real work behind me, it's just about time to focus back on LOTM. This should be the last of these annoying interruptions to the important work of Making The Porns, but if they do recur, I'll make sure to suspend payments for the month as I did this month.

I spent some of my off-time working on bits of the game needing work, such as fine-tuning character motivations and choosing the final five major characters. In no particular order, they are:

• The eponymous lord of the manor (remaining unnamed for now)
• Werner the buffalo
• Suri the meerkat
• Jags the boerboel
• Nabo the rhino

In addition, two people backed the Butler tier, which means they will be in the game as additional major characters: Dalarius and Ta'kom.

All other characters (currently seven, plus three from Patreon tiers for ten total) will be minor, which means they will not feature any major character development and will exist merely to give the world life, to support the main character storylines, and for you to fuck on the side if you so wish (and if you've not locked them off due to choices you've made).

I plan to spend the next two months working on the next phase of the story, which covers the journey to Paardenrust and the introduction of many of the characters, as well as the first day or two you spend there. If you're curious just how the timeframe of the game will be structured, all I'll say at this point is that it will not be a contiguous series of individual days. I intend to make it span a space of time sufficient to make the more developed romance options feel realistic.

On top of all that, as my life slowly starts to stabilise, I'm going to see about getting back into personal story writing as well. My goal is a single story per month alongside the LOTM work, which should be pretty achievable. I'll be starting with the 1k raffle prize I announced on SF last year just before everything went to shit. Should be fun!
