How Roman Reigns' Creative Process Has Worked Since His Return

Even though Roman Reigns took some time off, things are still the same for his creative process.

Reigns has been out since shortly after Summerslam, before returning for the build to Crown Jewel. While he was out, things changed behind the scenes and Vince McMahon is no longer contributing creatively. However, we’re told that Roman Reigns’ creative process is largely the same. Both Reigns and Paul Heyman are said to contribute heavily, and did, regardless of the head of creative was Vince McMahon, Triple H, or a combination of the two.

Beyond that, Michael Hayes is still tasked with handling the production on most Bloodline-related angles, interviews and segments regardless of show. If Roman Reigns is in it, most definitely Hayes is producing it. However, if there is something pertinent to a Bloodline related story, Hayes is usually tasked with that too. For example, Hayes produced the Sami Zayn promo and the tag team title main event on WWE Raw this past week.

For those asking if LA Knight being thrust into the spotlight with Reigns is a result of Vince being out of creative power, that was already happening before the move.

leaning on other people is so important, it's how you get better.

I disagree especially when those who have suggestions are older antiquated types. They don't actually change the industry even with their resume.

That’s the thing. You can’t nor shouldn’t book like that with you running everything creative wise. You need other people so it’s a constant flow and different changes.

Thats how you become successful. You cant do everything by yourself or you'll end up like Vince or Tony trying to do everything by yourself and things will get repetitive or not making sense. If your HHH, are you trying to come up with at least 5 hours of content by yourself juggling hundreds and hundreds of talent? If you do then your braver than me

As much as people think triple h is awesome because he's not Vince... Ya he's not really all that creatively. You can tell he leans on other people.

Not like it's the first time. Remember the many title reigns of Brock Lesnar between 2014 and 2018

Part time champ who defends on ppv/ple only. No event announced for the big money draw in Saudi yet I see

David Amodt

Right? It's good shit. The stare down with Cody alone got me. Good stuff!

Why did Vince agree to a part time schedule for his World Champion?

Jeffrey Pollard

Right. When he was away I thought ya know it’d be great if someone regularly active had the title. Then his music hit and I forgot that thought.

reigns rocking that subsection 11 paragraph E, beast mode

I am so over Roman. When the S.H.I.E.L.D. was a thing, he stuck out as a true badass and I couldn’t wait for him to be pushed, but his push was heavily handed in doing so and has made me sour on him. Good job, WWE.

I hate that Roman is away for so long and most people can't wait for him to drop the belts...but when he returns... everything feels so much more important. Whatever he's doing, it's working.
