Update On Official Signing In WWE

What's CAUSIN' Aldis??!?!

After years of rumored interest from WWE in Nick Aldis, the former NWA and TNA World Champion, Aldis joined the company this Summer as a producer. Up until this week, it was on a trial basis, but we can confirm that he's signed on with WWE in an official capacity and is no longer a free agent.

Aldis was not listed on the Smackdown producer reports, and we'll have a clearer picture of if he'll continue in that role in the coming weeks. However, he was revealed on the October 13 episode of Smackdown as the new Smackdown GM. Adam Pearce has produced and worked as an on-screen talent for years. However, MVP was originally brought in as a producer before moving to an exclusively to an on-screen role.

Those backstage in WWE have told us that Aldis has been easy to work with and willing to make the most of the WWE opportunity, and others have said that he was eager to make that work in whatever role he was given.

Such an underrated signing for WWE. I don’t think a lot of people understand how big this is. Aldis is great in ring, hoping we see him wrestle too. I also wonder if Mickie James will want to come back too. 👀

thankyoubrother

I hope we'll see him wrestle in the WWE in the future

Kyle Pribila

I think it’s very smart to have him as the GM of SmackDown in the short by mania season you can have transition into a talent for a feud with AJ Styles or Kevin Owens. My guess is William Regal will end up being SmackDown GM once his AEW non compete clause ends

Matt Hennessy

I'm happy for Aldis, although I had hoped he'd have another run in Wrestling before getting an office job.

Rincewind

would not be shocked if this role is to introduce him to the main wwe audience, most dont follow many outside promotions

John Rabadi

Can see him wrestling Dom in a few months.

Keith Kripke

hope they'll allow him to wrestle

John Rabadi

Been a pretty good week for wrestling.
