Could we see WWE wrestlers in EA UFC 5?

EA UFC 5 drops in late October after over three years since the last iteration. With Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, and Fedor included in the game, Fightful inquired about other potential crossovers, celebrities and additional names. In the past, Isaac Frost, Shaquille O’Neal and others have popped up.
With WWE and UFC soon reaching a merger with Endeavor, Fightful asked if the possibility of WWE talent being in the game had been broached. EA UFC developers confirmed that they did ask if that was possible, but were told that until the merger is complete, it isn’t likely something that will even be really heavily discussed.
WWE is currently licensed by 2K for their games. Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, and Matt Riddle are all on the current WWE roster and have fought in the UFC. Bobby Lashley competed in Strikeforce, which was bought by UFC. Sonya Deville also competed in MMA fights.

WWE and 2K sighed an extension last year, IIRC.

2023-09-07 17:22:06 +0000 UTCCould this mean EA takes over for the next WWE game? I hate them for what they’ve done to Madden and I hate 2K for what they’ve done to the NBA games but both seems to do better with their respective combat titles.
