Richard Holliday Talks Lymphoma, Leaving MLW, WWE and AEW Rumors

Holliday would tell us that he is feeling fantastic and is in a great state of mind. He said the past few months have been wonderful for him. He told us that if he can help one person by telling his story, that’s amazing.
Richard said that health-wise, the most problematic for him was a match against Hammerstone in New York for MLW. He said MLW had flown him in for that show in New York and said when he left home in California just pale. Holliday said he didn’t feel good. He said he went to the arena that day and said one thing led to another and then test after test, and then eventually, they came up with the diagnosis.
I’ve been feeling bad for a long time. What are the steps needed to take to get back to just everyday life? He said he wondered how he would return to the gym and feel like himself.
Richard says doctors were so assuring and told him he’d be fine and it would be a process. He said Pro Wrestling would be there. Holliday noted the industry’s not going away, and the business isn’t going away. He added that I may be going away for a little bit, and that’s okay because of my mindset the entire time.
He said that he and Court Bauer were close. Holliday said they would talk wrestling but would also talk about life, talk about family, talk about the Yankees, talk about the Giants. He would just check up on me from time to time. He said MLW was very good to him during the whole process.
Richard would also tell us that he has a firm grasp of what he can offer a company from a talent standpoint. He says he’s very poised for the future and whatever happens. He also says the speculation is probably one of the most fun things about wrestling; seeing people on Twitter or Instagram saying, ‘I hope Richard pops up here’ or ‘I hope he pops up there,’ is always fun to think about.
Lastly, he talked about how different the landscape is today since he started with MLW. Richard said it is very different to think about because when he first signed with MLW, he said it was one of the places people wanted to be. They had a deep and talented roster. Richard added that many people making a lot of noise in the industry.
