WWE had tried to "Vince-proof" some storylines and match bookings
Added 2023-06-27 19:00:03 +0000 UTCVince McMahon has been making plenty of changes remotely via phone, as well as in person at the June 5 WWE Raw. However, there are some things we’d heard he was particular about – but that didn’t last for long.
Those that we’ve spoken to say that McMahon generally likes to make good on the advertised matches if possible, even if they weren’t his idea. Sometimes there are some exceptions, however, by and large, if it’s advertised, they try to see it through. On Smackdown, there were a plethora of matches advertised on June 9 that those who booked it were hoping to see through.
One source told Fightful that advertising matches on Smackdown one, two and three weeks ahead on the same show could have been an effort to “Vince proof” some plans on Smackdown. However, the main thing we heard he made changes to on the June 5 Raw were match orders, match times and some quick additional segments.
The following Monday, June 19 a world title match, a “pivotal storyline moment” and more were changed for the first 30 minutes of the show, with another match added. The following Friday, several matches were changed on Smackdown at Vince McMahon’s request. Smackdown had not previously experienced heavy changes to the level Raw had for some reason.
Ultimately, we’re told many of the matches that were promoted weeks ahead ended up happening, but we’re not told if there was any reason for that.
There was a ton of frustration around several changes to last week's Raw and Smackdown episodes at almost every level of WWE.

They need to get Vinces ass out of there if they don't want the product to suffer.

2023-06-28 14:57:55 +0000 UTCNot that easy, because when the merger happens, you have to get Endeavor board members on your side, and the head guy loves him, so there's going to be some pushback. Also they did this merger specifically with the plan to put Vince in charge. So he has to royally fuck up the product to the point of sabotage, which you may think is happening creatively, but financially they're doing great.

2023-06-28 14:36:19 +0000 UTCI think this is the "pivotal storyline moment" referenced in the post. I hope it will happen on Friday but this definitely seems like something that is very important to the Damage CTRL story

2023-06-28 02:28:52 +0000 UTCNot necessarily even though it was in the SEC files Vince is still an employee at end of the It would be a bad look for Endeveour to not hold chairman elections at least once a year. There a business that’s known for wanting to make talent happy. If Vince involvement has a negative impact on talent Triple H & Nick Khan there every chance they get rid of him as they see as him not performing in his role the way they want or if more allegations come out they can push him out of the company. At the end of the day Vince is an employee if they don’t feel he has the capacity to perform his role they can get rid of him. I’m still convinced Endeveour played him like a fiddle. They told him what he wanted to hear to get the deal done & kissed his ass.

2023-06-27 22:54:48 +0000 UTCI just ask that he stay away from the Bloodline story! It’s almost done!

2023-06-27 22:38:01 +0000 UTCThey're not false. It's literally in the document they presented to the SEC. Vince ain't going anywhere, Endeavor wants him there.

2023-06-27 21:28:36 +0000 UTCHopefully the articles stating that he will remain WWE chairman until Death, Resignation, or Incapacity are false and there will be a real chance of him getting voted out.

2023-06-27 21:08:49 +0000 UTC"I think there a good chance Endeveour vote Vince out of the company after the merger & chairman elections happen". I wish that were true, But, unfortunately this is the same company that essentially looked the other way when Dana White beat his wife on camera at some event. I fear that they would do the same with Vince.

2023-06-27 20:30:24 +0000 UTCThe first thing that stands out to me on that is the apparent vendetta he’s had against bayley since being back in the loop, but I feel like if that were the cause vince would just have shotzi roll bayley up in <1 minute and take her mitb spot

2023-06-27 20:23:17 +0000 UTCAt some point they gotta hold an intervention and fire him or whatever you do to a Chairman.

2023-06-27 20:04:56 +0000 UTC100% agree. Happy talent make a good product and a good product makes money. Anything that upsets that balance should be a huge red flag in at a corporate level.

2023-06-27 19:29:17 +0000 UTCSo I’ve seen reports from Melzer & BWE where both where saying WWE are looking to find ways to stop Vince McMahon from interfering with creative & the reports go on to mention that not just are talent & writers frustrated but also both Triple H & Nick Khan are reportedly frustrated with the changes. When the Endeveour & WWE was announced it was reported that they were happy with the direction Triple H was taken the company & it’s also worth mentioning that Nick was the person responsible for getting WWE the billions dollar deals with FOX & USA. Endeveour at heart are now for being a talent agency & putting the needs of the talent first. Truthfully I don’t see Vince McMahon staying his role I see him getting voted once the merger is done & they can do chairman elections. It’s like Jimmy Van said they played Vince like a fiddle they told him what he wanted to hear to get the deal & I think the first they get there going to boot him.

2023-06-27 19:19:26 +0000 UTCAre these Orders or just Requests? Because if they're just requests can't they just grow a backbone and tell VKM to "piss off"? Also If he can pull this crap in WWE now does that mean he can do the same to the UFC once the merger is finalized, since he's head of the board?

2023-06-27 19:16:52 +0000 UTCThe Bayley v Shotzi match with a MITB spot on the line got Vince'd despite the fact it was advertised and there was a backstage segment setting it up. They didn't even bother trying to explain why it suddenly wasn't happening. Because there's no explanation other than Vince. I think getting Lacey Evans back on TV was more important for him.

2023-06-27 19:12:24 +0000 UTCA lot of people believe that Vince wanted a deal that could keep in the company. Jimmy Van of Fightful who’s been part of many company believes Endeveour told Vince what to hear to get the deal. Endeveour are known for being a talent agency at heart & presenting talent with big opportunities. If the reports that came out recently are true that Vince changes didn’t just frustrate talent & writes but also both Triple H & Nick Khan. I think there a good chance Endeveour vote Vince out of the company after the merger & chairman elections happen

2023-06-27 19:11:58 +0000 UTCIt's so crazy how Endeavor watched Triple H restore the product to this level and provide quality the likes of which we haven't seen in years and decided, you know what, let's put Vince back in charge! Insanity.
