WWE have been "ecstatic" about Judgment Day's performance

If you couldn’t assume it yourself, WWE are over the moon about Judgment Day.

Unfortunately, we’re not allowed to report news based on assumptions, but a WWE higher up spoke about the company’s affection for the stable. Fightful was even told Edge himself recognized that Judgment Day was better suited in this iteration than the original plans had outlined.

The higher up spoke highly of each member, saying that Finn Balor has been “very easy” for WWE to work with throughout this process and has molded to a variety of roles that the company has needed him in over the last year in Judgment Day.

Rhea Ripley was put over heavily for working through her knee issues that she’s spoken about in the past. However, her willingness to improve and help get everyone else over by contributing as a manager was also highlighted. Another longtime WWE staffer said it would have been easy for her to just be concerned about her creative surrounding the title. We’ve also heard that there are situations where she was supposed to dominate and was happy to give her opponent more offense.

Damian Priest’s work ethic was praised, and especially his work with Bad Bunny. Originally there was a tag team match set for that show, and WWE sources told us that everyone felt comfortable enough with Bad Bunny in the ring for their WWE Backlash match.

Dominik Mysterio received praise for his advanced schedule, which has seen him do a lot of media obligations with the success of his new character. Beyond that, we’re told WWE has been putting Dominik in a variety of situations and against a variety of opponents in the ring in order to get him used to a variety of styles and opponents.

Okay, so, I don't regularly watch, and I doubt anyone will see and respond, but I've never really heard anything about Judgement Day being supernatural(outside of Demon Finn's return) in relation to why they removed Edge in the first place. Have they done anything that'd be considered supernatural?

It also is great because with these big rosters someone can not have a match or solo promo for a month but still feel involved and not lose their heat being off tv. Rhea hasn’t wrestled much but is still just as over. Having a few great factions can keep a lot of people over and involved and happy

It definitely works better with Finn instead of Edge because he’s also an excellent veteran but he’s more understated than Edge and therefore allows the others to shine more.

This is a really cool, insightful and detailed update. Thanks Sean, hearing these backstage perspectives on talent development is awesome.

Joshua Cooper

They've all been fantastic. I hope this shows the higher-ups (hi vince!) that factions can work in WWE. They also allow for 1x1 feuds to have matches involving the faction(s) that build to the feud payoff at the PLE.

The Mayor Pete

And all of them are their old themes remixed in some way

Jon Blain

I don't blame them

Jeffrey Pollard

Finn deserves all the flowers

AJ

My son says they're quite popular with the kids at his school that watch WWE. So they're doing something right.

Jason O'Dell

Rhea would (and is tbh) an Uber babyface without him

Jon Blain

You can’t be serious. He’s a heat magnet and definitely one of the reasons they get booed so heavily.

thaddperkins

If only they would dump dead weight Dom.

Jeff Brown

I love how all of their solo theme music changed once they joined the group

ItsWildBoy

They’re really great and fit so well as a contrast to other top stables

Jon Blain

My only complaint about the Judgement Day is Rhea with the title, but that's mainly a booking issue (stops her from interacting with other women)

Jack Diehm

Good for them they have been killing it lately and it's very clear that they've managed to become quite the consistent thing on Raw

Jamal Johnson

Can see JD being one of the long running stables esp. being founded by Edge

Luke Ragnarok

Good for them, they all deserve the praise.
