Interesting news on this week's AEW Dynamite

AEW Collision is off to a hot start, and we might be in for more of the same on Wednesday.

As expected, the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega were not in Chicago for AEW Collision on June 17. However, we've heard they might not be in Chicago at all, and that includes for this week's AEW Dynamite at Wintrust Arena. We're told that there were pre-tapes done to progress some of their angles, but that there's a good chance they're not in the arena.

Instead, CM Punk may be showing up this Wednesday, though not officially announced. As of this weekend, those close to Punk claimed that he was planned for the June 21 show.

Punk made his return to wrestling on the June 17 Collision.

If Punk is on the card and the Bucks + Page aren't I think it'll go down very badly.

David C

I can't fathom a scenario in which the Jackson brothers and Adam Page, whom are all healthy, not wrestling at Forbidden Door. I'd be pissed. I can't imagine what fans in Toronto will react

Aristidis Fantis

So are the Young Bucks not actually wrestling at Forbidden Door? I can't remember an AEW PPV they didn't wrestle on.

Aristidis Fantis

gotta be setting up whatever punks gonna be doin at FD

e d

Not having Punk on a Chicago dynamite seems a bad idea. I hope he's there.

Noir

Clearly, but he wasn’t spending that money without them.

Dave Stroble

Well if this is possible then I look forward to potentially seeing the Elite at Collision in Calgary. If I had to guess, anytime they're in Chicago Punk will be there. I don't think he will be on Dynamite often otherwise.

Vain Valor

It actually makes sense. Chicago is the one city where your baby faces would look like idiots…. Can’t wait to see what happens when Punk goes in front of a hostile crowd. Going to make for great TV.

Scott R

1 bil phil has em scared

Jake Salazar

If they work something out I can see CMFTR as trios champs and at All In, The Elite answer their open challenge.

Jesus Cisneros

Honestly pretty smart to not have the elite boo’d out of the building when they’re the baby faces in the biggest program in the company at the moment…

Brandon

Well Khan's money hasn't hurt either

Robert Payne

Well, this is a bummer as someone with tickets to the Wintrust show. I would rather see Kenny than Punk, personally, but given how Chicago reacted last time, I can see why babyface Elite would avoid it and just wait to get their reactions in Canada.

Jen

Pretty much, if Punk gets booked which I’m sure he will, I feel like there’s soo much more to announce for that show

Dylan Stewart

Lol here we go

Tucker

You mean like, next Sunday at Forbidden Door?

CMRN

Not happening

CMRN

Misunderstood. I don't want anyone to fail. I just would love to see them have a WWE run.

Brad Nettle

They’re all “the elite’s shows”. If it wasn’t for them and Cody none of these dudes would be here.

Dave Stroble

wishing for failure is always a bad look

Sean Sarah

Going to be interesting when they’re all booked for a PPV

Dylan Stewart

They'd be a midcard act at wwe(regardless of their performance) with no executive power. Would not be a great career move for them

Jack McInally

Punk showing up on "the elite's show" would be wild. i want to see it. would be great stuff

Will McLean

This will all unravel and they'll end up in WWE come a years time. It will be glorious.
