Select Portions: Trinity, WWE, MARTY GARNER!
Added 2023-05-12 01:14:15 +0000 UTC- We're told by IMPACT sources that Trinity has IMPACT commitments into the summer.
- All of the prop items brought to Puerto Rico for Smackdown and Backlash had to be approved by Triple H personally.
- Originally Becky Lynch “missing” flyers were planned for WWE Raw in addition to the Trish Stratus shirt.
- For those wondering, the King of the Ring cancelation was directly related to the World Heavyweight Title tournament plans
- Fightful has another interview with Vinny Pacifico set to run next week
Marty Garner, aka Cham Pain spoke with In The Weeds about the Firm Deletion
- Lives six miles from Matt, so it was convenient for him to show up for Firm Deletion. Matt called and asked if he needed any help.
- Got there for filming at 5:15pm ET and left at 3:45am ET. Matt provided food and snacks. DID NOT HAVE BOJANGLES!
- Had been keeping up with Matt and his angle in AEW, so he was familiar with the stories. Has remained in touch with Caprice Coleman, who was the first trainee at OMEGA.
- Sent a video in for ECW tryout and it popped Tommy Dreamer.
- Tells a story about a kid at the tryout who was “the strongest teenager in America” and was talking trash to New Jack while in character. New Jack punched him in the face and then fought him again in the locker room. Marty thought that was wrong of New Jack.
- Says Mike Bucci took him under his wing.
- Recalls a rib Matt Hardy pulled when he had a washcloth and a piece of feces. Matt threw it over the balcony and said, “I hope it doesn’t hit Vince McMahon’s car.”
- Showed up on the set of The Rundown, Rock knew who he was from their relationship in wrestling, and ended up becoming The Rock’s assistant a couple of months later. Rock said, “Welcome to the family.”
- Rock told him that he thought Vince McMahon did him wrong by not hiring him and he wanted him to come out and have some fun.
- Thinks he can show up and challenge Roman Reigns because Rock said he’s family.
- Vince McMahon asked him day of to work MVP at No Mercy 2006. MVP was scheduled to face Chris Benoit, but Vince didn’t think MVP was ready for that.
- MVP slapped him hard in practice and Vince was surprised. Told MVP to slap him hard during the match.
- Didn’t want to tell Triple H he didn’t know what the pedigree was since he was new, just agreed to take it. He thought it was a powerbomb, so he was kicking hard for it. “I probably shoul’ve asked.” Says he’s never asked anyone for an autograph, but he did ask Triple H to autograph the photo for him taking the spike pedigree.
- Triple H checked on him in the ring after it happened and backstage.
- Wasn’t proud of how he took the pedigree because he messed up. “It was a video of shame for a long time,” but he accept it and said that he made a mistake.
- Says his “scorpion” dive against Jeff Jarrett was worse than the pedigree. He was just trying to impress by doing something spectacular.
- Ethan Page and Big Bill praised his punches in Firm Deletion. “I told them, ’Tell Tony Khan.’”
- Says he’ll never “throw the hat in” when it comes to retirement.
