Select Portions: Renee's Pod, Will Washington, WWE, More

- For those asking, Will Washington's job is not what Leva Bates' job was before her deal expired. This is a completely new role that was created.

- We’re told Renee Paquette’s “Sessions” podcast is on hiatus for the time being. It is believed the deal expired without them coming to terms.

- Street Profits, Viking Raiders, Matt Riddle are all set for this week's Smackdown.

- Damian Priest has been in Puerto Rico doing media most of this week.

- On Thursday, Cheeseburger joined Fightful Select's Coexisting After Dark with Rob & Maggie for an exclusive interview. He currently wrestles on the Independent scene but has wrestled in Ring of Honor, NJPW, and worldwide.

Cheeseburger was at the AEW Dynamite/AEW Rampage Taping in Baltimore, Maryland, on Wednesday, May 3rd. He said there is always a good vibe there; he knows many people there because they have crossed paths before.

He said being backstage for an AEW Dynamite show is busy, but everyone is cool. He did mention that he did see former Fightful on-air talent Will Washington in catering. However, he did not get the chance to talk to him.

Cheeseburger talked about working with Hall of Famer Jushin "Thunder" Liger. He also mentioned how Liger was a fantastic mentor and that Liger was his favorite wrestler when he was younger.

He mentioned one of the first Japanese matches he ever watched was Liger vs. Great Muta. He said he got to know Liger because of the working relationship that ROH had with NJPW.

Cheeseburger said Liger would give him advice after matches and noted that Liger was the one who taught him his signature move, "Shotei Palm Strike." Rob mentioned that The Great Muta was also in the ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden, and Cheeseburger said it all came "full circle."

When the topic of food came up, Cheeseburger said after training at Bandidio's gym, there were a lot of options for food, and he said he would have some of the best tacos in his life outside Mexico City.

He started training at the ROH Dojo when he was 17; Cheeseburger said he wanted to quit after his first day, initially wanting to be a manager because of his size. However, he found out that even managers needed to go through training. He said that's when he realized he wanted to be a wrestler.

Cheeseburger said Delirious and Daizee Haze were his trainers and great mentors. He noted it was challenging, but they also made it a wonderful and positive environment.

When asked if someone was to make a Movie or TV Show was made about him, who he would want to portray him, he said Idris Elba.

The audio for this interview is now available for our Fightful Select Tier 2 Subscribers.
