Update on contract status of several luchas in AEW/ROH
Added 2023-03-29 22:00:02 +0000 UTCAEW and Ring of Honor are using three talented luchadores, but they're not under contract right now to the company
El Hijo Del Vikingo made his AEW debut on March 23 against Kenny Omega to audience acclaim, and was subsequently booked for ROH Supercard of Honor. In addition, Komander had worked an AEW ladder match originally planned for Vikingo, and is also working Supercard of Honor. In the same boat is Dralistico.
Fightful asked about the contract status of each of the three, and were told that they're all currently on nightly deals. However, we've been told there has been some conversation about more with Dralistico at the very least.
Over the past year, in numerous cases, when a lucha talent would appear on AEW TV without a contract, they'd quickly be contacted by WWE.

You really can't be serious? Like Dom is ok however there really is only one Rey Mysterio Jr and that's what WWE fails to realize; they treat every luchador as the "next Rey Mysterio" and that's a heavy crutch to put on people hence why everyone fails.

2023-03-30 02:47:38 +0000 UTCAre none of them contracted in Mexico? It feels like Hijo del Vikingo would be offered a contract by most companies immediately. Then again I understand Bandido is signed and he's not appearing on either show with any regularity to this point.
