Mariah May interview notes

Fightful's Scott Edwards had the chance to interview STARDOM's Mariah May ahead of the promotion's Supreme Fight 2023 pay-per-view on Saturday.

Among the topics discussed in the interview were May's time in Japan, working with Mina Shirakawa, and why she decided to make the Tombstone Piledriver her finisher. When talking about getting to Japan, May explained how being in Japan felt like a dream and that she couldn't fully believe it until she landed as STARDOM was the number one goal for her. May was full of love for Club Venus leader Mina Shirakawa, saying that they clicked instantly inside and outside the ring. May even stated she's been like a "fairy god mother" to her thus far.

Finally, when talking about the Tombstone Piledriver that she calls Happily Ever After, she said that she picked it as her finisher when heading to Japan to help her standout more as the tallest wrestler on the roster! To hear the full interview, make sure to check out Fightful's YouTube channel as she discussed what titles she hopes to compete for, who she was a fan of before heading to STARDOM, and so much more!

Mariah May in STARDOM is a dream come true. Club Venus is a great opportunity for both Mariah and Mina-chan to truly step into a much-deserved spotlight and I can't wait to see what's in store now that Xia's had to leave

I received the Weekly Pro Wrestling magazine with Mariah, Mina and Xia Brookside aka Club Venus on the cover from Japan. I grabbed specifically for Mina as it’s also her first cover for the long time magazine. Anyway, you can tell she was excited to be in Japan based on her social media posts and backstage interviews from Stardom.
