Will Ospreay on Kenny Omega, Seth Rollins, More

We spoke to Will Ospreay ahead of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom on NJPW World.

Much of this feud actually started when we interviewed Kenny Omega in June and he casually buried Will Ospreay by still putting him over. Ospreay says that it's typical Kenny, and sometimes he oversteps and puts his foot in his mouth, which he said he does as well. He called Kenny an egomaniac and a KNOBHEAD and said that he knows it's all about Kenny Omega taking shots at people. He wouldn't argue that Omega is one of the biggest stars in wrestling and an amazing talent.

He feels he's matured a lot in the ring and physically since their 2015 match at PWG, and feels that early 2016 Omega and early 2019 Ospreay were in very similar situations in NJPW. However, he doesn't believe Omega could have survived the pandemic era NJPW shows without the crowd noise, having to isolate, and the sacrifices that were made.

When we asked him his favorite Omega match, he said that the Okada match at Dominion that went to a 60 minute draw actually motivated him to get in the gym more.

We also asked him about the Seth Rollins verbal battle, in which he said:

"I hated seeing what he was actually going through. When everyone was being mean to him, I really didn’t like that. I thought it was a little bit too much. I saw it, as we were having fun with one another and taking the piss out one another, I didn’t like how people were actually harassing him. I don’t like that in general. I put myself in those situations and I don’t like it either. Now, maturing and growing up and actually growing from all that, I hope he’s doing well. His character is cool, I love what he’s doing, and he’s definitely one of the best guys WWE has. I think it’d be an interesting showcase to have us both in the ring one day. If the WWE door does open, it would be great."
