Maybe Erick cast a [Benevolent Onward] in an effort to stabilize Veird following Shadow's Feast 1439 into the Gate Expansion Era? But as this spell guided anything too potentially catastrophic from occurring, it maybe also 'slept' him to prevent him crystallizing as a true Paradox Wizard (potentially Sunderiffic?). It's nice that he's ended the spell for the sake of lil big boy Yggy, though! TFTC!

What if most of Ericks memories from the last decade are actually from a clone/dungeon slime that took over his role after the worst case scenario unfolded (AKA: Shit happening to Erick and leaving him indisposed) With Erick perhaps Having his memories partially restricted to insure he wouldn't alter the future he visited (Or was he in another world/realm/something?) (Would also make sense if it was a soul thing as well) I can tell your rearing to go Arcs. Let the twist commence!

But as an actual in story effect that skipped the in story time forward by 10 years. If that's the case though then who was Erick for the 10 years he was gone? An Erick from the future hopping back to patch some mistakes and keep the world moving smoothly through a transitional period?
