I think i also got a glimpse of Erick's instinctive use of Benevolence when he did the welcoming talk and kept talking "without being sure about what he was saying". Stoked about the future! With the month over, and the wayfarer involved, the way is clear for trade and commerce between the Crystal Forest and Songli! Also Treehome might see the stability it was waiting for (can't wait for Syllea to be back :D )! Working out a way to not undercut Portal might still be a good idea long-term though

2022-07-10 10:54:15 +0000 UTCI know this is a divisive opinion, but I feel like a lot of these scenes would be better served by having other POVs besides Erick. Cuz everything in his mind seems reasonable, but if we were in someone's else's head we'd have a more immediate/tangible impression of all the "baggage" and history people are dragging around, and how insane all Erick's ideas sound, and how powerful he is. I'm just as surprised as you, I'm not usually a proponent of multiple POVs
