This post covers my early brainstorming sketches for our cast of characters.
Aubrey wrote up about a dozen brief descriptions and I got to work trying to imagine them.
An early sketch featuring all of the characters- This is after the designs had settled down a bit, but I'm putting it first because the rest of these drawings are less preposessing.
Rough sketches with first ideas for the Robot (later Talun), the Zealots (later Fweha and Hora) but here as two magnet worshipping men, the the Hero (later Victor) originally imagined as an older verteran.
Roughs of the Battlesuit (later Basil), the Scientist (later Katja), the Native (later Keen), and male and female versions of the Leader (later Gloria).
Roughs of the Good Soldier (later Mookie), the Terrorist (later Jackson, he didn't change very much from this early sketch) and the Alien (later Yrl-Ken).
Roughs of various faces. I believe these were a sample page for Aubrey to pick from for casting the characters. You can see prototypes of Mookie, Victor, Keen and Fweha among them.
