Can't see the Vimeo video? As of OCT2023 @Tech Coach Ralph found the following workaround for this Patreon bug ➡️ "if you click on the 3 dots in the top right to expand a menu and chose 'Copy Link' to open in your web browser choose the option to stay on web if it pops up (don't open in app)
you should be able to play the video."

This was really good. So many gems. Things I've realized I need to focus on personally:
Networking - I need to upgrade my bars, I usually go to the one that's right by were I bought my home, I'll still go there but they're is 0 networking to be had there. There are a few nicer bars that are higher end within close range that I should probably start frequenting as the opportunities to meet people of value are better.
Building relationships:
I need to improve on following up and actually nurturing relationships that I value. I fall into the "lone wolf" category and have attained an above average level of success in spite of that by navigating myself into a lane that doesn't really require a "network" , it's taken longer, but I'm pretty hard headed so yeah. I need to expand that area and have the opportunity to do so. I've made a list of people I need to reconnect with, which I'm going to jump on today.
Branding/social media:
I need to build on my social media, I've been mulling over doing content, which I'm going to move forward with now that I've created results and have things to speak on. I need to update pictures/bios etc on platforms that I don't use often and strategize how I'm going to approach the contract creation.

Rough Draft of Notes on Mastermind 4/18/2021 - Feel free to add corrections.
Dispelling Myths: You can work your way into being a millionaire.
AD just sold his web development co. Have an exit strategy. Most tech startups fail. They get bought out or they get sold.
Insight of C Suite
Compensation
How you get there
Etc
Compensation perspective - work for bonuses, care nothing for base pay
Base pay $250k to $900k / a milli that’s VPs Exec VP - CEO is challenging to get -
C suite works off bonuses, stock options, ____
Question: I have a business and a corporate job. How to allocate time to both?
AD you have to separate the two - it’s like being in a marriage.
Promotions come 90% from whether or not people like you and how well you allocate your time - not how well you do at the job. Yr supposed to be good at your job.
You need to be volunteering so if you have a Job and business? Pick one. You have to do more than a full time job to get to the next level in your job or your business unless your business is your hobby OR you don’t sleep like AD.
Have to be great at one thing first. Dedicate your life to leveling up at one thing. You have to spend time outside work doing the things that separate you from the pack and also separate you from the pack even on a personal level: going to the parties, volunteering to be in front of as many faces as possible, every day you come out of the house you need to be tight - shaved / hair looking good / clothes ironed. YOu have to put enough effort into who you are and what you look like before you even get to the table bc you never get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression.
Must read, be able to speak in front of people confidently and shake someone’s hand. Social media makes us think we can do things from a distance and not actually participate. You have to participate in other people’s lives to get into the C suite. You often can’t just apply for those jobs. Have to be visible.
Also online presence is as important as you in person. 11:13
When AD hires the first thing he looks at is online presence and didn’t care about what they did in the interview. Who are you on social media? Who are you on FB posts? Not you sitting in front of him telling him what he want to hear.
Some need to clean up your SM.
AD owns his presence and gets offers all the time to be in the C suite of startups and F500 cos and if the bag was right he’d entertain it. AD is all about the bag but those entities are buying into who AD already is.
He leveraged his SM to create more visibility to those he targets to get to certain levels.
Networking is not going to an event with a bunch of other broke people.. It’s scheduling time with your manager: i want you to mentor me, (even if you know more than him), how’s your daughter? Remember their birthdays. Walk through job and acknowledge people.
Immediately on hire 14:02 made sure everyone knew his name: shaking hands, kissing babies, smelling good, beard trimmed, he is always pouring in - investing in his appearance.
Buy a wardrobe piece from every 2 weeks for $25 to complete your wardrobe instead of on tricking h*es and video games.
Get to the gym: nobody likes to hang around fat people!
AD & KS didn’t make the world - they just want to win in it.
AD has his Chick cooking for him and he is in the gym every day. No excuses!
He doesn’t care about racism. His value mitigates it.
Story: at U Michigan for 6 mos as Software Engineer -- get your spouses on board too
17:09 as a contractor. Did all the extras, reached out to bosses’ boss - met a ‘Karen’ who got cancer and on her death bed demanded AD be hired and promoted - that’s how much she believed in AD.
All about whether they like you.
AD would do his work after hours and spend 90-95% hanging out, meeting people, shaking hands.
Learn to network properly and ask for these positions and grooming.
The higher you go the less positions - like women and men: Men with the bag have a lot of women to choose from. How to make myself more visible? What do they want vs what do I want? Doesn’t matter what I want.
People want to help you and push you but nobody wants to be around someone they don’t like.
Women leverage how you look. Align yourself with someone who is going to show you what you are supposed to look like in corporate America.
Nobody cares how you feel. No one can see a ghetto-fied woman in leadership. 20:53 Get in the gym.
People who get to those levels in the C suite have a vested interest in seeing the co succeed - their compensation is tied to the long term success of the company - bonuses and stock options that don't mature for years.
You will always have a boss - Question: How are your customers in your restaurant your boss 22:54
Hate you job? Hate your boss? Having your own business that is multiplied by 10 with no days off and no PTO. Customers don’t care if your parent dies or your financial situation or your sick children.
In a restaurant you said you’d be open 9-5 and We Want what you said you’d deliver. Run a company? Shareholders are your boss. Run a business? The customers are your boss.
90% of businesses go out of business within the first year.
Greatest cook in the world but don’t know business, not UX the customer experience as they walk through the door, marketing (location is not that important as online presence bc people order online), Uber eats / Grub hub 30% take from customers and 30% restaurants.
Margins are so small in restaurants bc of what’s baked in to the cost of piece of chicken. what must be calculated: cost of chicken, employee pay, gas bill, electric bill , payroll taxes must be baked into the cost of that piece of chicken.
This applies to all businesses. Online and offline. Shipping, storage, payment of contractors must be baked into online business pricing.
Time is not calculated at income/hour but at annual income/8,7620 hours . $70,000 per year divided by 8,760 hours in one year equals $7.99 per hour. 27:37
Earn $1.2 milli / year = $137 per hour
Calculate all these costs into how much it costs to open the door to our chicken restaurant to sell a piece of chicken.
Open up a business? Calculate how much time I spend.
Real estate: flipping houses? must be real estate, materials, mileage, interest in holding property, car you travel in to the property lease? (Write off everything) Own? Calculate depreciation
Do not need to include this into biz plan for funding but must be part of your overall bizplan to understand what the biz is going to cost you and to be able to project whether or not it makes sense to be in that business when taking into consideration the possible costs and profits.
Real estate, time, gas, resources marketing etc. to get one property sold - understand that? Now can scale out to 6 months and 1 year.
Restaurant: summertime slower. Winter people buy more food.
Superbowl weekend? Will sell a lot so AD discounted chicken - buy 1 get 1 half off - not to make $$ on chicken but on sides & drinks (where the profit was bc they cost pennies on the dollar) he understood price breakdown so used chicken as loss leader.
Loss leader - item sold at break even or loss as a gateway to sell more of items with higher profit margins (in this case, drinks)
31:03
Question: Asking for mentorship - what does it look like?
Schedule meetings with your bosses’ boss. Send an email. Follow up with a phone call. Get added to his calendar. Be transparent with your boss. Don’t go over your boss's head. Say I want to meet with my boss' boss bc I really want to dive more into this business and understand such and such. Don't need to say exact objective to boss.
Be intentional - spell out exactly what you want ahead of time to the meeting is like a formality. Spend time and make it fun. Make them want to be in your presence. Don't Say I need a mentor. Say I'm looking to move up in the business. What does that look like? What do I have to do ? What's the criteria for me? You'll probably already know but you are rubbing their ego - make people feel awesome & make them feel like they are the da lai lama without being obvious.
35:00
Question: How to get well liked while remaining authentic. I’m relational and personal but don’t want to fake the funk or go against my core values?
AD you're in the wrong biz. You can’t separate. There is no faking it.
In the C suite you vacation with these people and you know their children. Being authentic and likable are not 2 separate things. You have to be authentically likable. Go find a company that aligns more closely with your core values.
I'm not here to make friends. I’m here to get to the bag.
Josh: Linked In 10 years to get to VP- Do I chase the skills or the bag?
C suite is more sales than anything. Sales is not cold calls and annoying people and a commission based job BUT c suite is a commission based job.
Lots of us don't get to the next level because we see things from a glass half empty perspective. Start to see things from a glass half full perspective - everything is sales / getting compensated based on performance per AD. 41:13
Every time you meet a chick and you are trying to sleep with her? That's sales. Sales is convincing a lady to sleep with you even if you are lying to her.
AD is selling his child on making good choices on friends; you won't’ even see your friends once you grow up unless you go to the reunion.
AD sells us on the luxury lifestyle by casually putting on his expensive watch while broadcasting. Go to the gym, the barbershop, all the time we are selling others on why it makes sense to be in our presence.
Everything is sales. Understand this and embrace it to become 10x more successful. A mentor of AD had him focus on selling. AD did it for free. AD would cold call and ___ . It really helped him. It taught him to get over fear of speaking in front of people, overcome objections, get people to look at things and sell things to them without people even realizing that they wanted it because AD realized most people don’t realize that they don’t know what they don’t know, taught how AD how to look at women differently, taught him everything about how to move in a specific direction that allowed him to leverage how he saw things into being more successful in corporate America. . 43:53
Question:
Luther: First increase the bag and attract what’s coming to you? Also increase an online presence. Do that simultaneously? How to strategize how to do that? Already scrubbed SM. How to attract people he wants to align with?
Most of our SM is trash. No direction. WE think our SM is ours and we can do what we want to do and separate ourselves. We think we can say what we want and post any pics and it don’t mean nothin like anyone cares what you think.
Most need to erase anything not crisp / not intentional 46:24 online presence must tell a story / must serve a purpose. Our digital presence Is an extension of who you are. First AD does when he meets someone is look them ig linkedin google etc
FYI: All AD’s stuff is aligned ig linkedin website yt Yt cover photos crisp, only posts what is dope , posts regularly, tries to post every 2 weeks different photo on regular page; on regular AD channel posts every sunday; on after hours posts 3 times per week.
Be intentional just when like you awaken, brush teeth and shave. Make sure my SM presence is curated as though the most important person I’m ever going to meet in my life is gonna put me in a position to get to the bag is going to be looking at it.
48:00 What space are you trying to be the most relevant in your life? Personal life: volunteering and bringing more attention into minorities into engineering science and math
SM just needs to show I’m likable, not be tailored to the business I am in.
Trying to be mayor of a city? Image must be like what sm1 would tell me if I were running for president: show my family, have crisp pictures, always be in a suit, etc. never be seen with the money phone.
In corporate America, dress for the position that you want. Sme with SM: Tailor SM presence for the audience that would add to the bag, not people that you are looking to get likes from. Does my SM presence closely align with the image that I want that person to perceive of me. Likes mean absolutely nothing.
Question: CJ am I in the corporate America space in travel nursing. The m education the more $$ I’ll have. Best way to make the most of my situation financial wise. I do work around majority women all the time. Appearance / the gym does matter when dealing with unit managers.
50:11
AD is 5’7” and the ladies love Anton. Appearance matters. Bag matters. Height doesn’t matter. Control the controllables. CJ works around women. Women want to be around beautiful men. AD can’t control his height - its never been a problem but AD can control what he looks like in the gym, his diet, his beard, his hair, speaking to people in the morning, putting arguments with Chick on the back burner.
Be presentable and likeable. Education plays a larger role but will elaborate in CJ’s next one on one.
AD: Start being copyers. Look at those in the position I want to be in and 54:03 tailor my ...AD doesn’t understand why are you not pour into your linked in like you are pouring into your ig? Linkedin got stories. Reach out to those in linked in via dm. You be surprised how many C suite personnel check their linked in if you Write something sincere on a personal level and not just business based.
Apply this to yr biz profile also:
Approach people on a personal level. Tap in to something that means something that means something to them. WE don’t care about biz. We already got a million biz propositions on our plate every single day.
AD is a silent investor and bc AD is a bit m visible and can say things that rub people the wrong way, he doesn't want success of businesses he's tied to whether or not people like him.
Spend time curating and participating on linkedin in your professional profiles. How many have a website? If AD did a deep dive on me today, am I finding stuff others present about me or is it tailored to what I want to be presented?
Google AD - what comes up is exactly how AD wants to be presented.
Pour into myself. Get a website, get a email list, get a client list, tailor my linkedin FIRST, have a very crispy professional image, post articles here and there, look to build f try to get friends the same way you to try to get followers on IG and , stop participating on FB so much - it means nothing unless you are marketing.
YT? YT is dope. When people hear you talk and when you present yourself, that’s the best form of communication in that I can see exactly who you are. Keep that in mind too bc when you post content , is that content aligned with how the people you want to be in contact with, that make the decisions as far as empowering me to be successful. Is that the image that you want them to see? They look at everything.
Everything we do is our brand. Do not post a pic of you in PJs unless it's yo xmas PJs with the family and it’s holiday time bc you trying to sell a card /car or something.
AD’s Chick doesn’t post pics on her IG before running them past him. She understands she is a part of his brand and every single thing dhr does affects AD and ultimately them.
Curate your friends lists. Who you follow tells how you think.
To win you have to play the game til you can get to the level where you can do what you really want to do.
Question: 59:00 Clement - trying to build his brand toward YT. Needs to build his SM presence back up. Where would he start building that. It needs to be dope and available for when people tap into it.
People don’t align with you on every single platform. They rock with you based off of where they found you. AD’s YT subscribers only reach out to IG to get in contact with him or need to reach out to him. They subscribe to youtube and live with yt.
Stop posting the same content on each platform.
Make curated content for that specific platform.
Give people an incentive to follow you on different platforms or no reason to follow that platform. Give people a reason to follow you on IG. Don't build the following on IG the same way you build up on YT. When they tap into you on that specific platform that it’s meaningful to them and that it means for them to tap into you. Be great on YT if that's your objective bc that's where the money is and focus 2ndary energy on IG or any other other platform.
Don't have to be great on everything at the same time. Be really really great on one platform.
clean wip start over? Depends on images. Pixilated? HD? Grainy? Lots of time people want to see the progression ...the story. Nothing wrong with having pics of you lookin different or anything like that. The growth is very much a part of AD’s story.
KS don’t delete his old stuff. Intentional 1:02:00
AD doesn’t delete his v v bad 1st videos. He wants you to see the grind - that's a part of his story. Make sure the content still aligns with the direction you're going in from a brand perspective.
Stan Question: been off SM last 5 years. Building it back up. Working on biz and job at same time. Content going toward corporate people and going toward the business people. How to separate the two? Post toward the biz side or the corporate side. He doesn't want the corporate people to think he doesn’t care about the job.
AD have a timeline in which you post. From a biz perspective with linkedin, post every 2 weeks. Then for ig post more often: at least once per week. Has to be intentional.
Even on linkedin doesn’t have to be all business per se. That's the caveat. A lot of times people want to hear about who you are. Now ask yourself how do I separate myself from the pack and stand out a little bit more with the content I’m posting vs posting something that looks business professional.
Visibility is important. Still have to be targeted and intentional.
One way AD separated himself from a SM perspective - his profile doesn't look like anyone else’s at all. It very much showcases the artistic side of creating more visibility for himself. AD doesn't just post random pics. He posts pics that are taken to where it can be wide angle and chopped up in 3.
If you look at AD’s profile you can see a pattern - everything is numbers. It’s 7, 12346, 7, 123456, 7, 123456
Subconsciously people don’t even realize but their ***** 1:06:30 eyes and their minds m closely align with the structure of his profile bc it’s a pattern. If SM presence has skinny and wide pics , it’s much easier to click off of that unless there is something im looking for bc there’s no real structure to it -
AD believes in copying - thats whats done in the web development world - look for great features that are presented in certain spaces like IG or uber ( l love how this moves or swipes thru or how the menu is down at the bottom and not at the top (v much a UX thing) we’d take certain features and copy them based off how we can implement them in other spheres or other industries whose SM or application presence isn’t as robust. Taking things pioneered in the tech sector to banking or public health sector that isn’t as robust or built out. That doesn't take a lot more … they haven’t put as much resource or technology into it.
We should do the same thing.
This alone is FIRE!!!
Gleaning strategies/formats of winning/ successful profiles, not rappers / entertainer but the look and feel of someone who takes the SM presence serious. See the profiles creators and photographers that are dope, I can v much do the same thing.
Those on IG that’s popping and has a great presence , look at their profile and see what's working for them. AD Talking about pics, profile pics, how they are aligning and showcasing their experience, background photos etc. and applying to the user experience (UX) on our IG, FB, websites etc.
meaning there are 6 wide frame photos divided up into 3 images
then for 7th image there is a tall and wide frame photo that is divided up into 6 photos - 3 upper photos and 3 lower photos
Use crisp, high quality images! 1:09:15
Post on a LinkedIn schedule and curate content to tell a story about yourself: working out, volunteering, family person, see you dressed up, see your love interest. People want to see you on all platforms but just must be platform friendly.

Ads to promote YouTube pages? Be very very very very careful and intention about targeting or you'll waste your money.
Also, figure out the real cost including everything.
How much is one subscriber worth? How much is one willing to spend?
When you go to App store and see ad for app at the very top? Money was spent to target intentionally to by asking how much is it worth it to acquire you as a customer? How much are they willing to pay to acquire you as a customer?
Monetization for YouTube: Different content generates different revenue. Ads on AD's money channel makes way more revenue than an ad on his regular channel.
1:14:58
Lawyers giving insight on basic legal advice - is among top earning channels Lawyers/law firms are willing to pay crazy amounts of money to run ads relevant to that specific audience.
Eg: Find someone who gets mesothelioma? payout is huge as opposed to video of those who do pranks.
advertising to create more visibility for your channel? age / demographics - men watch Youtube - women watch FB - don't run gamer ads to nursing content.
1:16:49
95% focus on dope content, dope thumbnails, tags, & being consistent then 5% on targeting the right audience.
AD's Networking Strategy: 1:22:00
AD posts a lot on his stories.
AD is an in-person type of person. Get out and participate. Go into the world and be intentional. Talk to people. Be friendly.
Business: participate in companies and places he goes to and works at and speaks at.
Biggest thing: these places are very much open to everyone.
Hi end restaurants? Bars?
Going to the honky tonk or bar where man must wear a jacket/blazer and be recognized?
Do you sit at bar or in booth? AD never sits in the booth - always at the bar making conversation with those next to and around him. He is intentional.
He is out and about at all times. If he is not grinding or at the gym he is out in the streets networking 1:24:36 Networking is just meeting people.
How AD obtained Tito's Vodka sponsorship - obtained by keeping contact with a friend making $50k who mentioned him to a VP.
Was invited to and attended to an event. Connect with someone who already had a Tito's Vodka sponsorship because he has a $1,000,000 garage on a private racetrack.
AD socialized and had drinks with this individual and the individual showed a gun collection of weapons of gangsters like Al Capone that he obtained when they were arrested or before they were killed.
AD filmed a video but respected when the individual requested he not to show the gun collection on the video. AD didn't even title the video to catch eyes FRFR. That impressed the folks at Tito's Vodka and they reached out and offered AD a $120,000 / year sponsorship.
AD put in 2-3 years nurturing the $50k making friend and this was the result.
Put in years building & nurturing relationships and being likable over extended periods of time.
Get over your feelings about who did you wrong or people aren't to be trusted on IG. 1:26:20
Sleep on posting about something you are in your feelings about - make sure you truly want to post something contrary to what you have been aligned to. Stop talking about your personal life in a negative way online!
1:27:34
Networking is taking advantage of making sure you show and add value to people first then letting chips fall where they may.
People seek you out for great opportunities when they rock with you.
Networking: Do good things for other people and good things will just fall in my lap.
Eg: AD went to church. Pastor mentioned fundraising for $2085.00 for a dope camera. Afterward, after hugging pastor, AD told the pastor he'd pay for the camera , went online, sent the pastor $3k. the pastor then announced it and a surgeon who had wanted to do the same thing reached out to AD and invited him for lunch over his house next Saturday.
That's networking!
Not necessarily spending money. Be visible. Volunteer. Participate.
Earlier AD handed out a lot of food.
1:29:18
AD made a video $1 for a Hug (on his other channel) where he recorded buying hugs from people for $1. Haters never mention this and he is coo with this b/c he wants people to talk about him negative or positive.
Go to downtown Detroit - give 250 hugs out and give out $1 each to those 250 to takers of the hug -He would change so many people's day. He would write his website on each dollar bill.
AD did this for 2 months straight. Many high level position people invited him to lunch. They just regular people. Anton: I rock with you. Do you know how many deals and offers this translated into?
1:30:56 AD pours into people first.
Do good things first.
Marketing and networking is pouring into people and adding value into their lives BEFORE they offer you any other opportunity.
Moving Up - Do you have to change companies? Why focus on people in your existing company.? Build great relps and when people move on, they will tell you about opportunities at other cos they move on to. Do favors and get favors.
More than likely more $ and more opportunities come from other companies.
AD usually stayed at a co 3 years to show stability unless you get a crazy bag offer.
Rock with the people you rock with for at a certain level everyone knows everyone. 1:33:00 All are at the same events, hanging out with the mayor, learning who is running for mayor before the official announcement b/c all are in the rooms, all are friends.
Once you level up someone will ask what do you think about AD? He is a solid guy will be the answer.
Leave on a good note. Always make a great impression with whomever you come in contact.
Where to meet executives? He meets everyone everywhere: casino , cigar lounges, the park, b-ball game, season tix to the Pistons
AVOID WHERE THE POP BOTTLES - that's just clout chasing!
Another video 1:35:30 Buying Season Tix at the Pistons - The power player wives' love hanging with Reta. would meet and link up at the b-ball game. Mover and shaker was eating dinner alone for his bday and AD said nah FAM - paid for the meal - and they did a big deal 2 years later.
want the best for those we meet. we must re-program our mindsets.
no one cares about how you respect them, they only care about how you rock with them.
AD pours into bad and good people - he has so much love for people. when it's time to leverage, or time to contact people, everyone remembers him and reaches out first. When it's time to do business AD has the first right of refusal.
Top performer in organization but not liked by management? 1:37:49
Interview is them interviewing me and me interviewing them. think about it like it's a parole board. shape the narrative that I am a likeable person and I can't wait to work with you guys.
Get some enthusiasm and convince them
Example: panel interview - AD was being interviewed by a panel but the ultimate decision maker (an Asian) was v disconnected - even on his phone - he paid attention for the first 15 minutes then checked out _
Then AD stopped the interview and asked the fellow: What's your name again? Fellow looked up and answered. AD said I'm sorry. I don't want to waste my time. I need to understand what it is I'm doing wrong that is disconnecting from you - maybe I shouldn't be here or there's a way that I can give you some insight into who I am so that I can hellp you to understand how I can give more value to the company.
The Asian answered honestly and then AD poured into him --- i am going to be the hardest worker you ever met in your life. im going to volunteer for all this stuff. AD just layed it out. went outside the interview script to sell himself and then over delivered on the thing to be more memorable as time went on. AD and Asian wound up becoming best friends. AD sold Asian on everything. Listen: I don't sleep. If anything comes up, I'll be the one to be up late to make sure it becomes successful.
I'll be here late. this and that. this and that. this is just who I am this is not me selling you but me telling you the truth. anything you're disconnected about - help me to understand it now because this is as much an interview for me as it is for you. you don't understand the value you getting from a person like me. i'm a once in a lifetime ...
learn how to say things that resonate with them outside of the typical interview questions that theyr gonna ask you and ask all the other candidates.
when you give you an opportunity to speak your going to have to make an impact
ask you for any questions: be prepared have done your research so they can recognize and realize how you can relate to them. look up their linkedin. look up where they came from. relate a lot of the questions and answers that you have to their background specifically.
not just interviewing, understanding who you're talking to 1:42:21
Aaron: How to monetize 200 person event and further one's career. How to help one's self out by being a connector? AD you do realize
an executive puts people in position to do their jobs effectively.
Steve Stout does this well. Read The Tanning of America
Marketing perspective - Mindset behind why / how Steve Stout thinks how he thinks
From a corporate perspective hosting these events gets you visibility in front of other people / helping and pouring into people you have a great reputation becoming likeable.
1st rule of Sales: Things buy things because they like you, not necessarily because you have the best product.
From a business perspective. Putting yourself in the room to be able to be part of the deals that's taking place. Then figuring out where one can fit into that piece of the puzzle to add value to that company / business proposal that's being talked about.
Ask for what one wants* and be assertive.
*One wants to make money. I want to be part of this deal. I want to be a part of this business. How can I add value? Be intentional. Ask for what you want. Scared to ask for a promotion? Do you know how to negotiate compensation for an executive position?
Do you see the value in yourself? Your mentor will take your compensation offer and explain it to you: if they mention this it actually means this.
so AD followed the advice and asked for it (what he wanted) and company said ok.
Be assertive and ask for what you want. As for what you want in your business, in your relationships, Ask for ‘head’. Ask your chick to be someone different in the bedroom if that's what you need to get your rocks off. Ask for it. AD promises it will be fun for the chick. AD's chick gets off on seeing him happy.
1:49: 01
When AD gets home from the gym, his chick has bathwater ran, has a selection of pajamas ironed out for AD to pick.
Chick wakes up and asks AD what color he is liking today then has all the shirts ironed and laid out.
His Chick loves doing stuff for AD! He doesn't even have to ask anymore.
When people start loving to do stuff for you personally and professionally that's how you know you're living in your purpose and being the person you are supposed to be.
Always on the asking / wishing end? When people are wanting to do things for you and you aren't having to ask...this is when you have sufficiently poured in to those around you. they naturally want to see you happy and successful.
1:50:49 start being real honest transparent and pro active about how you are so you can stop being reactive and having to make adjustments based on the situation you find yourself in.
stock investing course: hasn't shown his personal life: his girl or his family because a lot of social media isn't real - didn't want to open himself up to avoid negativity. has a corporate job. AD: people will be negative but only less than 2% and half of those are fans who are getting triggered by your information / presence so they are secretly fans.
you will be 10x more successful being more visible. Avoid the negative. Some that have smoke for you are being honest about what they see. They will tell you areas for growth in the comments so you can make adjustments / improvements. We aren’t above being checked. That’s why AD shows every aspect of his life.
Be who you are. AD shows the bad, the good and most importantly the growth. People aren't just looking to relate to success anymore but to understand how you became successful and why you are what you are. that is how people align to you and why you get sales. People want to see growth.
Jeff Bezos never says anything negative.
1:57:57
Stock business - how to move up in corporate world in the digital health space when running online stock business / course that isn’t directly related to corporate work. Is this negative
AD only negative if affects productivity, availability or image.
AD quit job in 2019 November / October. The $$ was crazy but his purpose was different. AD had made enough $$ to be comfortable for the rest of his life. His path with representation of the company and everything he really wanted to say: After hours, Lapeef, all the sponsorships were not going to align with his corporate image so he made a choice.
You can cultivate /nurture your company but you can’t play both sides. Think of your job like a woman. AD likes to relate back to woman and relationships.
You can stay single and others will be willing to stick around whilst you see other women but once you level up to next level marriage. You still want side chicks? You have to make a decision on the direction of your life and whats going to be most conducive for what you are looking to accomplish in your lifetime.
Doesn’t mean you can’t do both. It means if you are having a conflict you will have to choose. Those most successful in their positions are generally those most dedicated to that position itself.
2:00:00
AD I hope you got nuggets and jewels and get some good sex tonight as a result of the information I told ya’ll.
AD: I’m going to tell you the truth. I’m not here to make you feel good about yourself, I’m going to tell ya’ll it real.
Question: Executive compensation negotiation for 6-figure salary.
They already have a budge and they are willing and able to go above the budget most time if they find a crazy valuable candidate.
Best negotiating chip? Be willing to walk away. Do research and be willing to walk away from the table if you don’t get what you want. Find out the going rate for the position in your region. California Senior software engineers are compensated differently from those in FLorida. Can’t be so tied to an offer that you show weakness at the negotiation table in being willing to accept whatever it is that they offer.
AD has walked away from offers and it didn’t even phase him because he knew he was so valuable that other offers would come across and the company has come back 2 days later with: we’re willing to meet your demand.
BE willing to walk away if compensation does not align with what you feel like the compensation package or if the package is not comparable to what others are making in that specific industry. That’s your biggest negotiating chip.
Example: making $70k and get an offer of $130k. Take the $130k and make a lateral move to another company to get more $$$ Unwilling to walk away? You need to take it.
2:05:00
Game on family member hate. AD I just got into it with my bro 2 days ago. I rock with you and call me if you need me but Me and you got nothing to talk about. I’ll make sacrifices for anybody but I’m unwilling to mess up the dynamic of what I got going on for you bc family is so selfish and that they feel like they have a vested interest in what it is you are supposed to do for them because your blood related. Your family is who is going in the direction you are going in. It doesn’t mean y'all can't rock with each other, love each other, speak with each other when yall see each other.
But your family is very much the people holding you back --they so toxic for you. My family know: If it's between you and where it is I'm supposed to be going. I'm a religious dude. I go to church. For all intents and purposes let’s say I'm a Christian, right?
I feel like I gave y'all a lot of game tonight.
If my family said... My brother always says this to me a lot. Why didn’t you tell me this. I say you should have joined the patreon. You knew it was open just like everybody else. I don’t owe you nothing Fam. If it gotta be between him and y'all I’m pouring into / choosing y'all. Why he get more than ya’ll just because we blood? He don’t get no special privileges.
In black culture: Just because I'm black I'm supposed to give them a discount at my restaurant? They Don't respect you, your time, who you are as a person. AD always tie it back to tthe Bible: the prophet gets no respect in his own home.
Your family will respect you more if you said no. Men that say no are more successful, have more sex , have a greater success in every aspect of their life because theyre unwilling to be used as a pawn or wet rag for somebody else’s convenience.
If family are adding value and pouring in to me just as much as they are giving that’s one thing. 2:08:49
AD’s tribe: his daughter, his wife and y’all. Stop surrounding yourself with toxic people in your lives and more importantly stop being the toxic one in your loved one’s lives. Am I the toxic one in the family? Are we trash for other people? I could be wrong. We can talk about it.
Comment:
2:10:07 lots of guys don’t reach out to each other at all. We shoot a text when we want to hang out. Re-kindle contacts with a 10 minute call. Rekindle the bond. Don’t just try to maintain contact by sending a text. Call for 10 minutes starting with those closest to you if going out the door and meeting someone at a coffee shop is intimidating. Stop texting and liking a picture and thinking you are keeping in contact. From a few months or even a year, give a call. Just want to check in on you and your family. How are you?
Don't be a lone wolf - wolves travel in packs.
AD contacts 3 people every single day that he wouldn’t normally contact. They would forget about him. Empowering. Strongest suits and assets in leveraging who we are to be the best version of ourselves is by becoming self-aware.
If you are around the right tribe they’ll remind you to do that.
How does AD stay up til 4 AM?
Trained himself to see sleep differently. Conditioned himself, being in the gym gives 2nd wind, diet of what he needs: which is energy, not what he wants* (all the sugar is monster energy which causes you to crash), no tv in his bedroom, no checking the phone whilst in bed. Either buss it down or sleeping only whilst in his bed. No tv in the bedroom. Stays busy during the day. Might cat- nap when being driven from one place to another, uses the tribe for motivation. 2:16:20
How to stay focused or motivated? Brush teeth, prays then reads bible for 45 minutes each morning.
Daughter allows him to push himself harder. Wants to be the type of guy he wants her to marry.
He puts a carrot in front of his face: if I made $1.2 milli last year how can i get to $2 milli? Must be intentional. Now he’s mining every single day. What do I need to do? How do I need to leverage things? What kind of tags, do I need to do? Do I need to record more videos to create more visibility for my sponsors? Do I need to shoot ...instead of using standard footage ...now I don’t use stock footage. I use only original content because it is more profitable.
Now AD runs more ads because he’s recording 15 -20 minute videos and can put more ads in between videos. Ad hired and surrounded by with those that can add more value. Added assistants to manage calendar so AD can leverage more of his time doing the work and AD offloads some of that work so he doesn’t do so much busy work.
Now is outsourcing accounting and tax work which costs money but allows AD to make more money because his time is more valuable doing stuff and doing more content. Even before AD launched after hours, AD was always trying to figure out how to have real conversations and uploading at least 2 or 3 times / week . All this happened while AD was moving to Miami.
None of audience moved over to Anton After hours because there was different content.
It's about being consistent and endurance. Best cartoon: the tortoise and the hare (rabbit). AD is a tortoise. AD is an endurance racer. AD will be consistent long enough to beat down the door and create visibility for himself.
AD Needs no motivation to keep doing what he is doing. AD Just needs a standard. Goes by his google calendar. Has consistency. Understands what he is supposed to do. Won’t burn out because it’s Easy for him to maintain a pace. Won’t start a channel unless he knows can pace himself and upload 3 times per week and then a live stream.
All it is, is structure. Once you are structured and conditioned yourself it’s just like going to the gym. Some go to the gym cuz it’s new year’s but by March only those that want results are still going.
The person who is consistent enough to be there long term will be the one who gets the results. The thing AD cares about is the results so it’s easy for AD to stay consistent.
