Added 2020-07-24 19:03:57 +0000 UTCThat's right, I'm finally making headway on editing this one, and I'm going to start serializing it here once I've got a few more chapters in the bag. For those of you unaware, the novel Zafiil, about the character Zafiil, concerns the history of the Faulfenza, and so rightly belongs in the Peltedverse canon! Its age has made it necessary to make lots of adjustments so it'll fit properly, and that's what I'm doing now. It's not a small project, though: at over 250,000 words (about 1100 pages), editing it is going to take some time, and the results will have to be split into two volumes to keep the paperbacks from being wrist-busters.
But I think it'll be worth it, and I'm looking forward to kicking this one off here in August! In the meantime, here's a picture of Zafiil, drawn when I was writing the first draft... in 1996! It's still one of my favorite pictures of her. I miss working in ink, sometimes, but at least I've got these oldies but goodies around.

I figure the serialization will give me the time and incentive to get my tail in gear: it's a big project, and while I'm not easily daunted it is kind of intimidating. Lol. :)
