From the Depths of the Closet: Amakitia and Crew

My new project, from now until the end of the year (or possibly beyond) is to go through all the loose papers in my closet and scan them, and then recycle or put them in deep storage. Some of these papers are junk--old report cards, random pamphlets, drafts of stories I was marking up--but a lot of them are doodles and notes and random things that I probably shouldn't throw away, not permanently. And there's a lot of them.

I thought it would be fun to share some of these ancient things. So every Wednesday I'm going to bring out one thing I scanned!

Today's looks like it's from the early 1990s? Late 80s? And was one of my multiple attempts to get a comic book going; my influences at the time were the B&W indie comics of the 80's, like Albedo and Fusion. These are the deepest roots of the Peltedverse! Because the 'all female crew of a starship' idea would eventually become Alysha and friends.

Possibly the most amusing part of this page for me is the fact that the captain (the fox on the left) is checking the time with a pocketwatch. :D
