Ooh Blue Caturday (and Major Achiev)

Welcome to the weekend, y'all! I hope your week was better than mine, which was full of frustration and wall-punching. I come with a blue cat, who has decided Daughter's reading nook is his reading nook. Because cat.

News is in order!

• The Farmer's Crown release is Friday! SO MUCH STUFF in this one, y'all. Please do show up in #spoilers on Discord and flail together.
• Alysha 5 is now available for pre-order! You heard it here early. 
• I'm still getting my bearings with Kherishdar on Dreamwidth. It does seem to be inspiring more comments than the posts did on Wordpress, though, so... net good? Go have a look at the last entries; this week we had three serial posts and one language post.
• (I'm still writing Kherishdar. Goal for finish is still end of April.)
• Oh, and I point out to you this SO FUN reddit review of Princes' Game. Enjoy. I did. :D

Finally, the arrival of the Faith paperback has allowed me to unlock the 'entire shelf of own books' achievement.

All 48 of the books on this top shelf are by me, and me alone! (No anthologies, collections, etc; I had four? Five? of those that have been banished to the bottom shelf.)

I started publishing in 2009 when the big ebook revolution was just exploding, by uploading the short story 'In the Line of Duty' to Amazon for 99 cents. Ten years later, I make a living off my writing. Looking at the situation now, after that decade, I am grateful the indie movement came when it did... because I would never have thriven in traditional publishing, which allowed an author to publish a book a year, if they were lucky to get in the door at all. 

Working for myself, I've managed an average of four (almost five!) books a year... while also at day jobs. 

I love my work. (I work hard at it, too!) And I am deeply pleased with my shelf. Thanks for coming on this ride with me, y'all! Here's to the next ten years, and all the books in them. 💖
