Caturday, and Books

Someone asked after Caturday, so I have supplied! Here is Ron Weasley the Cat, trying to assert his dominance over my territory, the round chair, by leaning on me. (You think I'm kidding, but he likes to sleep on it when I'm not on it, and when he found me on it, he lay down next to me and started biting me until I shoved him off a few times. Only then did he lie down next to me without being uppity about it. I am the top cat in this house, and I suffer no insolence.)

Having said this, though, Ron Weasley the Cat is not an onerous boarder, and is particularly good-natured about my daughter chasing him around the house, lint-rolling him, pulling his legs, and piling blankets on him. All of which he not only tolerates, but seems to enjoy, because there's a perfectly good bed to hide under when he wants to be left alone. He even waits for her, so apparently his definition of fun and hers align? If we had to have a cat, I don't think we could have done better. As long as he stays off the chair when I want it.

Some other photos, since it's a good day for photos:

The Wingless refresh, sitting on top of the new Book 2 print edition. I think they look splendid together.

The insides also match, with the fancy graphics I did of the Chatcaavan calligraphy, and the font sizes and such. <3

Anyway, I am waiting with anticipation for the PG2 books to arrive. They have shipped! But via UPS ground, so it'll probably be at least a week. *impatient*

Here they are on the shelf. As you can see, all of Dreamhealers is now in print, and all of Her Instruments, and all of Alysha Forrest (!). This is only one of my "me" shelves, and I don't keep it for vanity! I use the paperbacks to look up things because sometimes it's faster than if I do it on the kindle, particularly if I'm checking things across books. When I'm doing things like marking up continuity, I like being able to use post-it notes and stickies on the paper editions. (You should see my first edition Wingless, it's got so many bookmarked pages I can hardly flip through it.)

Every once in a while I think I should get an actual copy of A Rose Point Holiday, since mine is the one with the proof copy cover and the spine looks weird. That does bother my Everything In Sets Must Match thing. >.>

Anyway! As of now, only seven books in my backlist are missing their print editions! The four Princes' Game books, and the three books of Morgan's trilogy. I'm hoping to get them all done in the next year and a half... while also wrangling the print editions for the new books I'm releasing. Let's see how well that goes!

So there you go. Gratuitous cat picture, plus news update. Have a happy Saturday! <3
